MP1st – MW3 Patch is Now Live on PS3 and 360 – More Issues to be Addressed Soon

Just a few days after Modern Warfare 3′s release, Infinity Ward patches the title on both Xbox 360 and PS3. Also, Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist shed some light on issues that will be fixed at a later date.

Patch 1.03

When you fire up Modern Warfare 3, you’ll be notified that you need to update the title with a small patch, 4 MB. Robert Bowling, known as Four Zero Two, explains that the PS3 patch helped resolve “any ‘Out of Memory 14′ errors you may have seen”. Meanwhile, the 360 patch “includes improvements to matchmaking and fix for video uploads on SD [Standard Definition] TVs. Please note, if you’re unable to join up with your friends, then it’s “most likely” caused by the patch. Wait until everyone is on the same version in order to “matchmake” together.

In Future Patches or Hot Fixes

Robert noted that “wall breaching the tanker on Outpost” will be resolved via a hot fix. Cross country matchmaking has also been a notable problem that Robert is aware of. He explained “this may be an issue in smaller countries and are currently evaluating how to best address this for them.”

i agree also ive contstantly come across shooting dead into the chest of an enemy player as its the largest area to aim for and being shot and killed after emptying a full assult rifle clip its more than annoying as it affects my elite record whenever they sort that out properly

I know your post is like two months old, but FIANLLY someone who put this in the proper context!!! Is it me, or are the developers getting lazier than said bag of horse dick with mapping. I persoanlly thought these new systems, I use the PS3, were more advanced, yet the maps seem like a step backward… it all started happening with the DLC for MW2 and the places that should have been accesible (a flower bed or something lower than the barrel next to it you could climb onto).

Bravo for your perfect description of thee maps… maybe we can luck out and get the Killhouse in one of the downloads… now that was intense run-n-gun fighting and it didnt matter if you ran a cheat, there were too many constant variables for it to really make a difference. Once they patched the underground exploit that is…

I am surprised how Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom was able to make almost the
same amount of changes Modern Warfare 3 did to Modern Warfare 2, in
less than 9 months, but Modern Warfare 3 needed 2 years. Ultimate Marvel
vs Capcom added 12 new characters, 9 new stages, around 5 new alternate
colors per characters, added a great slew of balancing, improved
net-code, more features for offline and online like spectator mode,
improved and tweaked HUD, new game modes, and more! Not that Modern
Warfare 3 is bad, it just could of been SO MUCH BETTER with more passion
and money put into actually working on the game.

You fail to realise that Call of Duty has to have full 3D maps that have to be created as opposed to a small backdrop that UMvC has, not to mention all the voice acting that has to be done, plus the new modes.

Not only that, the detail is better yet MW3 is in 1080P… I thought I was going to be blown away at first but highly disappointed.

Lets not even get into it didnt contain native 3D coding!!!

They need to fix the game i can not get into any games it takes 10 mins for me to find one and i got a great internet hookup i just dont get it COD: BO bam i get right into a game FIX UR GAME!!!!!!!! ive played more BF3 online then this game

How about fixing the spawn issues, they totally suck. Also, Infinity Ward, you should get dedicated servers!!! I hate when the host leaves or turns off his PS3/Xbox.

Has anyone found a solution to the fat-PS3 crashing issue? Confirmed that reinstalling game data and save data does not work (multiple fails). Only got around the midway point of the campaign, and it constantly shuts my machine down in the first few minutes of ‘Bag and ‘Drag’. No sense in even attempting multiplayer as the crashes are random. Happened 5 times now, and I am not willing to risk any more until there is a confirmed fix.
Activision have dropped the ball on this, and I will think twice and do research before I even consider another one of their games. No more first-day buys for me.
