Eight teams have been chosen to participate in the Call of Duty Championship taking place April 5-7 in Hollywood, California.
Teams made up of both professional organizations and amateur squads from North America battled it out last February on the Xbox 360 to earn one of eight qualifying spots during the Call of Duty: Black Ops II World League Champions Series.
Now, the stakes are higher as these eight teams will be matched up against other organization from around the globe this April to compete for a prize pool of $1 million in the Call of Duty Championship.
The top eight North American teams have been announced and they are:
- RAGE
- Tva
- Vintage
- Phoenix
- Curse
- Quantic
- compLexity
- Awe Sports
Additional teams will be decided through upcoming competitions like the Major League Gaming Winter Championship this March 15-17 in Dallas, the Electronic Sports League’s European Championship, and the Australian Cyber League.
