With the final campaign DLC add-on for Borderlands 2’s season pass set to arrive next week, the folks over at Gearbox are already starting their usual preparation for any upcoming DLC that’s set to launch by releasing a compatibility pack before-hand.

Although there’s no specific date in which Borderlands 2 players across all available platforms can expect the update to arrive, Gearbox community manager Chris F. did reveal that the new update will be ready to roll out in the upcoming days. Once downloaded, it will allow anyone who hasn’t purchased Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon’s Keep DLC, to play online with their friends or join a matchmaking game.

Additionally, Borderlands 2 players can expect yet another update to be pushed out soon, this time addressing any of the recent hotfixes and making them permanent, as well as other changes. Details are still being finalized.

The fourth campaign for Borderlands 2, Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon’s Keep, is set to arrive on the PC, Mac, PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 25th for $9.99 USD or 800 Microsfot Points. Those who purchased the Borderlands 2 season pass will receive it at no extra cost.
