GTA Online – Free Deathmatch and Race Creators, Capture Mode, and More Updates Incoming

This week, some really neat updates are coming GTA Online that will offer players the chance to create their own in-game content.

Rockstar will be launching beta versions of both the Deathmatch and Race Creators so you can get cracking on crafting some of your own awesome missions. You’ll have access to a number of the same tools used by the Rockstar development team to create content that you’ll be able to share via Rockstar Games Social Club’s online services.

The customizable modes include:

  • Deathmatch
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Race
  • GTA Race
  • Rally Race

Rockstar expects the Content Creators to be available as soon as tomorrow, December 10, though an official release announcement is still forthcoming. You can grab a sneak peek at some leaked footage of the Creators right here.

In addition, the studio also plans to launch the new Capture game mode sometime this month, which is a proper GTA twist on the classic Capture the Flag game mode. There are four variations of the mode called ‘Raid’, ‘Contend’, ‘Hold’ and ‘GTA’, which will be detailed next week.

Lastly, Rockstar reminds players that 2014 is home to a number anticipated updates, including GTA Online Heists and GTAV story mode updates.

“We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists,” writes Rockstar in a recent blog update. “Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year.”

For those anxious for more story-related content, the studio writes that they “have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor’s action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.”
