New Killer Instinct Devs To Be Revealed After Fulgore’s Release, Lobbies To Include 8 Players

This week’s Killer Instinct Play XBLA stream is filled with interesting tidbits of info on the game’s future.

According to the stream, Killer Instinct’s new developers will be revealed some time after the new character Fulgore is released to the public. However, as we reported earlier, Microsoft’s creative director Adam Isgreen stated that the new character, alongside the rest of the promised March update such as story mode and online lobbies, might be delayed to ensure that it releases without any issues.

Unfortunately, a solid release date as to when the aforementioned additions will launch was not mentioned.

Speaking of online lobbies, this week’s stream also revealed that when the long-awaited online lobbies update does go live, you can expect eight player rooms and that you’ll be able to spectate those matches. The update will mark the end of Season One, but there’s still the possibility for the team to add a few more things afterwards.

Additionally, it appears that the “retro” costume for Thunder that was accidentally outed via a glitch over the weekend will be released very soon, according to the developers.
