As a bonus, DICE has stated that a patch would go live before Dragon’s Teeth is released, and with E3 on it’s way, EA would most likely pull a End Game and share some deets during their conference and may even release it next Tuesday or the week after.

    • MegaMan3k

Wouldn’t that be pulling a “Close Quarters” which was released revealed and released at EAs E3 conference?

      • http://MP1st.com Denny Kovacs

It wasn’t revealed at E3. They announced it in March and showcased the expansion some more at E3. They did the same thing with End Game as well, so it works both ways I guess.

  • pot51e

Some of the CTE stuff – is very good…SIGNIFICANT improvements (PC)

  • Alkanida

    Anybody able to download already?
Did they add Dragons Teeth DLC Trophies?

    • Yevgenij Pekurovskyy

yes, i did 30 minutes ago

      • Alkanida

So, are the trophies in it? Can you post a pic if so?

  • MegaMan3k

Will consoles get network update boosts?

    • Robenter

Doesn’t look like its happening for this update at least. There is an update for “Improvements for client side packet loss” which is network related and should help in some way, but its not the coveted “tick rate boost” that the PC is getting.

  • dpg70

The question on everyone’s mind is…what will it break?

    • ASS4SSIN

Nothing that is noteable, I played cte with this patch a while and haven’t seen any gamebraking bugs or problems.

  • Dany.092

xbox one and PS4 not 360 i think..

  • Emre

Can someone explain this patch for me. My english is bad.

  • swipe_06

Im confused. the article says its live on 360 and PS4, while the notes say PS3.

    • http://www.teg-uk.co.uk TEG UK

      LOL IKR, It’s 360, PS3 and PC

  • DiabolusBR

WHAT?! No tickrate increase on consoles? That is BS!

    • http://www.teg-uk.co.uk TEG UK

      Its in the works apparentlty

    • http://www.twitch.tv/sillycrez SillyCrez

      “High Frequency Network update”…

      • DiabolusBR

You clearly didn’t see the post prior to the update. Before it was only stating that only the PC would be receiving the “High Frequency Network update”

        • http://www.twitch.tv/sillycrez SillyCrez

I’m not going to start a “fight” dude about when the update came out and if my comment was prior to that.

    • Eternalwisdom

There is on Xbox one not 360

I played my first couple of rounds in a long time, and everything felt crisp and tight. Bullets hit properly and were stopped by corners and walls. I might actually play this game regularly again.
This is the patch I was looking for. If the dragons teeth dlc is decent looking, I might actually still buy premium

    • pot51e

Being shot around corners and kill trades still happened in CTE – but VERY occasionally compared to vanilla BF4.

  • Brian Anthony

Not sure if XBone and PS4 will get the tickrate increase option, I can only pray that we do! No patch notes on PS4 or X1 yet. Only PS3,360, and PC for now

  • NinoBr0wn

Does anyone know what the default network smoothing setting is? I changed mine a while back, but I further what it was.

    • Jayy

      50% is default

      • NinoBr0wn

        Thanks

    • Paul Scott Thomas

less latency at 0, that’s what i use. 100 is more latency but stops graphical glitches more

    • Fernando

On Ps3 the default network smoothing is 80.

  • Tim Whitehead

And still no campaign save bug fix! pfft

  • Pedro Cantante

Well… I got the message DICE, something like this —> “Thank you for your support we are going to keep working on new updates (blablabla), next real game fixing update maybe in 2 years! Be patient we work hard on this!”

  • Bmeowmix

Thank God they added the ability to swap R1 and R2… That annoyed me since I got the game. Also, by “rental server bug fixes” does it mean the game won’t crash when I try to rent one? Because that would be fantastic also

  • TheGrandSonOfLiberty

What about the audio not working the first minute or so on PS3. I cant tell you how many times my chopper gets shot down at the start because I cant hear incoming missiles.

    • zakrocz

If it’s a lock on missile the centre of your screen should show you a white curved indicator which alerts you to being locked on aswell as the direction it’s coming from.

      • TheGrandSonOfLiberty

Yea and my cell phone flashes when I get a call but I still wanna hear it ring lol. Its just the point that it doesn’t work, sometimes I dont notice the white arrow but thanks for trying to help brother.

        • zakrocz

No worries :) The only way to stop the missing sound at the beginning of the round is for Dice to delay the start of the round so everything can load.

  • Watch dog sack

This is going to screw everyone up. Everybody is used to how the game plays and now they are changing it again. This is not going to be good.

    • Serialmania

This update will change the game for better gameplay. Who don’t like that?

  • paulio

im freezing (360) using 100%xp mofo,s….. pls stop messing with it,its fuXked leave and move on

  • Mr szatan

Why people from Spain our Italy have so big advantage connection. Pisses me terrible because they have very weak connection to the servers. It’s to big lag compensation. And why if I rent server it doesn’t say where I rent. It’s stupid when say in Europe I want rent I uk

    • :(

      what

  • OptionalLemon

Well, it fixed nothing on 360 in my experience. Now I’m getting shot by people that never even looked my way or get dropped instantly without any gunfire sound at all. Dice should finally just admit that they can’t make this run any better on older consoles and that this really shouldn’t have been put out on PS3 and 360 in the first place.

    • zakrocz

I’m on 360 and it’s actually worse after the patch. Now getting regular stutters every few seconds. You can notice this immediately if you drive a vehicle.

I had a quick game of TDM to see if the gunplay was improved and again nope, it’s worse with these split second stutters.

I’m really hoping it’s just a server issue that can be fixed because this will suck if we have to put up with this until the next patch.

  • Sinnbadd

    They need to fix Dawnbreaker.

  • Adale

Sound crackling bug after update on xb1. It sucks. I can’t play the sound is so annoying. My 5.1 sound is fine on anything else on xbox. It’s a bf4 issue. People need to be fired. Namely, management for not QA testing patches they are responsible for. It’s like any frequency under 150Hz is clipped and crackles / staticky sound. Any gun fired or explosion does this… Which means anything aside from running or knifing someone triggers the sound. Annoyed. Why should I buy another dice title??
