Renown developer Rockstar Games is bringing to life the hopes and dreams of Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC gamers around the world by announcing a re-envisioning of their smash hit open-world title, Grand Theft Auto 5, on next-gen.

“Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail,” writes Rockstar in a recent press release. “Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.”

The game will also include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, more detail, and will contain all content previously released for GTA V on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The studio also confirmed an advanced video editor for the PC version of the game.

To top the already headlining news, Rockstar has also announced the ability for players to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to any of the three new platforms the game will be arriving on. Exciting times for Los Santos folk!
