PvZ: Garden Warfare – Latest PC Footage Shows New Map and “Fruit” Variants For Peashooter And Cactus Classes

PopCap HD may not have showcased any upcoming content for their shooter, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, during E3 2014, but more recent PC footage contains some add-on DLC that we may be able to look forward to in the near future.

The video above, courtesy of Shack News, gives us a small glimpse of what appears to be new “fruit” variants for the Peashooter and Cactus classes. Alongside these colorful new variants, we also get a glimpse of a new map.

No date was given as to when we can expect to toy around as these fruit variants or get to enjoy the new map, but given that it was showcased on the PC build and not the PlayStation 4 build, it’s highly plausible that it will launch alongside the PC release this June 24.

Elsewhere, the creative director for Garden Warfare will give us an update on the community created Peashooter tomorrow:

Given that the new Peashooter has been in the works for quite sometime, it wouldn’t be surprising if it got changed to the Peashooter that was spotted in the video above.

Garden Warfare is available now for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with the PC receiving it on June 24 and, finally, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on August 19.
