This Mortal Kombat X Video Shows Off Some Impressive Combos

E3 2014 came and went, but not without showcasing the most brutal Mortal Kombat game to date, Mortal Kombat X.

Despite the intense media coverage throughout the week of E3, we’ve yet to come across any game footage that dove deeper into the game’s combo system, nor any demonstration of each character’s capabilities.

However, we did stumble across a video from PC Games that manages to put a number of heavy-hitting Mortal Kombat X combos on display and gives you a better idea of the sort of the movement and fight mechanics built into the game. You can catch it below:

While you’re ogling at some of the marvelous combos featured in the video, there are also a few bits of new information that we can gather:

  • You can now trade hits, a first in Mortal Kombat. Previously, player 1 would have the advantage if both opponents would attack at the same time. [Go to 2:04-2:05.]
  • Kotal Kahn can summon totems mid-combo.

You can also notice much more fluidity in each character’s movements. What are your thoughts?

Mortal Kombat X is set to release sometime in 2015 for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. For those who haven’t been keeping up on the latest news, feel free to check out our round up.
