New reports are suggesting that a separate Halo project in development at Microsoft Studios, 343 Industries, and other teams, both internal and external, is in the works.
A recent listing spotted on Microsoft’s Careers page details an opening for a Senior Producer “to help develop a new project line in the Halo universe.” The page has since been removed, but we were able to grab a screen shot of the description prior to its disappearance.
Other than qualities and expectations listed for the position, the description doesn’t provide any additional details. But mention of a “new project line in the Halo universe” sounds like it might not have anything to do with previous Halo spin-offs like Halo Wars or Halo: Spartan Assault and might be a completely new project, game, or movie.
Currently, Microsoft and 343 Industries are hard at work bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians to the Xbox One this Fall and next year, respectively, in addition to Ridley Scott’s digital series, Halo: Nightfall, and Steven Spielberg’s untitled live-action Halo television series.
Either way, it looks like fans have a lot of Halo to look forward to in the near future.
Thanks, VG247.
