You Can Now Pre-Load Destiny on Your PlayStation, New PS-Exclusive Strike Mission Trailer

PlayStation Nation, the shooter you’ve all been waiting for isn’t quite here yet, but it is now available to pre-load on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

According to Sony, your two options for pre-loading Destiny on your PS4 or PS3 before its September 9 release are:

  • Take no action; Destiny will begin automatically downloading, provided that “auto-download” has been enabled on your PS4 or PS3. Over the next few days, your system will check for updates and the game will begin downloading by Monday, in time for the release on Tuesday.
  • If you can’t wait until then, you can enable the download manually. In PlayStation Store, navigate to the Destiny game page and click the “download” button. If you haven’t yet preordered, you can preorder and then begin downloading.

Note that the game won’t actually be playable until 12:00am Pacific Time or 3:00am Eastern Time on September 9th.

If you’re an Xbox One gamer, you too can pre-load Destiny on your console before it launches on September 9. Be sure to do just that if you want to be amongst the first to play.

In related news, PlayStation fans are also getting a new peek at Destiny’s PlayStation-exclusive Strike Mission, Dust Palace, in a new overview video with commentary from PlayStation Blog’s Ryan Clements. You can catch it above, if you haven’t seen it yet.

The video follows closely behind last Wednesday’s look at Destiny’s PlayStation-exclusive competitive multiplayer map, Exodus Blue. You can get a good look at all of the goodies coming exclusively to PlayStation right here.
