Valve’s Steam platform is undoubtedly the biggest PC Gaming marketplace, but it’s becoming more than just a place to to dump all of your money over holiday sales and send your wallet to therapy because it feels empty. It’s also adding features like music and, as of last year, In-Home Streaming.
Also having joined Steam in offering streaming services for PC is Nvidia, using its GPUs past the GTX 660 to give gamers on the go a reason to invest in a Shield, a device specifically built to let you play your PC games remotely. But now, it seems that a new contender is in for the streaming glory: Razer Cortex.
Launching in beta later this, Razer Cortex is a new streaming software that costs $40, which can stream your favorite PC games to your Android microconsole so you don’t have to move your PC next to your TV in the living room. However, if you don’t happen to own an Android microconsole and are still wanting to dive into the age of game streaming, Razer has you covered with its own microconsole titled Forge TV, which boasts some nice specs:

- 2.5 GHz Krait 450 CPU
- Adreno 420 GPU
- 2GB of RAM
- 16GB Storage
- HDMI 1.4 Output
- Bluetooth 4.1
- AC Wireless
- Gigabit Ethernet
While the two aren’t bundled yet (it would be heavily appreciated), we expect a one to be offered when both Cortex and Forge TV launch later during the first quarter of this year.
