Dirty Bomb Open Beta Launches June 2, Check Out The New Trailers

Dirty Bomb, the free-to-play and ‘free-to-win’ PC shooter from Splash Damage, is entering open beta this Tuesday, June 2 on Steam, the studio announced today.

If you’ve yet to try it in its current closed beta state, Dirty Bomb is a character-based, run-and-gun first-person shooter centered around objective-based game modes team play tactics. Players select a mercenary with his or her own unique strengths, abilities, and weapons. Players can build specialized squads to take into the action and experiment with different set-ups.

To give you a better picture, developers have gathered in a round table discussion to answer the question, ‘what is Dirty Bomb?’ in a new video you can check out above. You’ll be able to get in on Dirty Bomb’s open beta by visiting the game’s official Steam page on June 2.

Earlier today, Splash Damage introduced a new Merc, Kira, who wields bad-ass “beam-of-death” weapon and can keep other Mercs topped up on ammunition. You can find out more about her in this quick overview trailer:
