Metal Gear Online Unlocked For Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Today, Check Out The Launch Trailer

The adversarial multiplayer component for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has finally arrived via a free update, giving fans on consoles the opportunity to take part in some online espionage action.

Following last night’s game update, Metal Gear Online can now be accessed from the main menu in The Phantom Pain, though players will need to download some extra data before getting started.

Once in, a brief introduction will play out before you’re off customizing your character and exploring the new freeroam area. Once you’re comfortable, you can create a party and select between three different 16-player matches: Bounty Hunter, Cloak & Dagger, and Comm Control.

PC players, you’ll need to hang tight until early 2016 before Metal Gear Online becomes available, unfortunately. For now, check out the launch trailer above, along with a few impressions from TGS 2015.

If you’ve already gotten a few games in, be sure to tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
