Doom’s July Update Is Bringing New Modes To Multiplayer, “Unto The Evil” DLC Announced

As July approaches, so too does new content for id Software’s reboot of the iconic FPS game, Doom.

Next month, according to id Software Executive Producer Marty Stratton during Bethesda’s E3 2016 presentation, Doom is getting a handful of new game modes, available for free to all players. That includes a new one-flag CTF mode called Exodus and a new multi-zone capture-and-hold mode called Sector.

All of them, including three new Free-For-All modes due out later this Summer, will be playable on all existing and future multiplayer maps.

As for paid Season Pass content, Doom’s first Premium DLC pack, Unto The Evil, is also expected to land sometime in July. It brings three new maps — Offering, Cataclysm, and Ritual — along with a new playable demon called the Harvester, a new gun, and a new equipment item. There are also new armor sets, taunts, and more, says Stratton.
