If you’re a multiplayer shooter fan, chances are you’ve been on the receiving end of a beat down in one form or another online. Sometimes when this happens, you can switch teams to be with people that actually play to win, or if you’re good enough, switch to the losing side so you can help balance things a bit. Apparently, that won’t be at all possible in Battlefield V!
Over on Twitter, YouTuber DannyOnPC pointed us to this little factoid, and yep, it’s real!

DICE Software Engineer Kevin Moore also mentions that now, there’s “no button” to switch teams unlike past entries in the franchise! You will be able to join the other, but only if you have a friend (online friend) on the other team!
Only if you are joining a friend on the other team. Otherwise there is no button for this

Additionally, DICE Multiplayer Producer David Sirland weighs in on this controversial topic, and suggests that players try it first, and if it doesn’t, the studio will fix it.
Maybe try it first, perhaps it works wonders. Perhaps it won't. But if it doesn't we will of course fix it.

As a longtime Battlefield fan, I have to say, I don’t agree with this. But who knows, right? Maybe DICE knows what they’re doing.
In other Battlefield V news, check out how progression, microtransactions, and in-game currency works right here. We also posted what DICE has planned for the week in terms of news and announcements.
I’m not playing this game even if EA/DICE gave it to me. It’s all Pretty and no Punch! The kiddies should love it. Of course Red Dead Redemption 2 could kill BFV before it even gets off the ground.
Bye, nobody will miss you.
Have fun with RDR2! It’s a great game!
Thanks nobody… I’m glad you will miss me!!
