Beerus, Hit and Goku Black Confirmed for Dragon Ball FighterZ Roster

dragon ball fighterz update 1.21

It appears that the rumors that were circulating around the internet about the upcoming roster additions for Dragon Ball FighterZ are true after all. It appears that Beerus, Hit and Goku Black are indeed confirmed to be joining the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster. To accompany this latest roster announcement, it seems that we also get to find out a bit of information regarding each of these fighters’ attacks and abilities.

For instance, Hit ,just like in the manga and TV show, will utilize his unique Time Skip technique allowing him to attack his opponent for a fraction of a second. As for Beerus, it seems that the God of Destruction of Universe 7 will be equipped with techniques allowing him to either release Ki blast in every direction from his body. Or, just simply shooting out a long range beam from his finger.

Finally, for the third announced character Goku Black, he will borrow a page from the androids, as he will have Zamasu as a support who will be able to hold characters in place for Goku Black. Aside from having a support, it seems Goku Black will also use his ki to make an energy-based scythe.

New character additions aside, it appears that Dragon Ball FighterZ will also feature an interesting mechanic that includes Shenron. Where if players are doing combos, they slowly start to gather the Dragon Balls and upon gathering all seven of them they get to summon the eternal dragon from Earth who will grant one of the following abilities:

  • Fully recover your health
  • Revive a fellow teammate
  • Gradually recover hp over time
  • Able to perform a fully charge ki blast

If this feature does make it to the game, hopefully it’s just used in the story mode and not during multiplayer, as it might slow fights against human opponents and make the gameplay a bit clunky.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to launch January 26 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
