Destiny First Look Alpha Now Rolling Out on PS4 and PS3, Watch the “New Beginnings” Trailer

The video above serves as an introduction to Destiny’s First Look Alpha which is officially launching today on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, giving anxious Bungie fans a small taste of the studios epic new project.

Bungie has begun rolling out download codes, so if you’ve signed up and got yours, you’ll be able to create your very own Guardian and begin exploring a small portion of Bungie’s brave new world. Take part in Missions, Patrols, Strikes, and even test your will against other Guardians in The Crucible where you can take on some of Destiny’s competitive multiplayer offerings. You’ll also get the chance to learn your way around The Tower, Destiny’s central trading hub, where you can interact with others, buy new equipment, and acquire new missions.

You can find out what we think about the game so far by watching our first impressions video right here.

If you missed out on the Alpha, however, don’t worry. You still have the chance to participate in Destiny’s official Beta, launching July 17 on PS4 and PS3 first, by simply pre-ordering the game.

Be sure to follow Destiny on Facebook and Twitter, and head on over to the official website or to learn more. Destiny launches September 9 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

played a bit last night and i love it…the announcer in comp. mp needs a more hardcore voice

    • Agreed, the announcer’s voice is too crisp and professional, I want them yelling as if they’re fighting with me, not in an audio booth recording their voice lol. Tried out crucible mode (pvp) and wow, its so different yet so easy to pick up how to play. And its crazy how the PvE and PvP modes are so in sync. I used my shotgun in crucible, and I swear the ammo carried back into single player when I went back to Old Russia…I love this game

Got into the Alpha & WOW. So glad I pre-ordered this on the PS4(pre-load FTW).

Fuck Bungie, I get an email saying I dont qualify for a fucking code? They know I dont have PS+! I need a reason to have PS+ and maybe I would buy PS+ if I had a decent game to play online. Dont worry it says, you can preorder and get a code! Yeah thats what I’m going to do, I’ll make it a priority. Not.
