Firaxis Games and NVIDIA have revealed a new Marvel’s Midnight Suns DLSS 3 4K gameplay video, showcasing the powerful effects of the super-sampling technology on the game’s performance. With the newest version of the technology, NVIDIA is advertising roughly a 100fps gain (ray tracing on) in a number of environments compared to running the game with ray tracing on and DLSS 3 disabled.

Nearly a minute of gameplay sees performance in Marvel’s Midnight Suns at ray-traced 4K compared with the same settings and the addition of NVIDIA DLSS 3. Though NVIDIA makes no mention of the PC specs the game is running on, the DLSS 3 footage boasts an additional 100fps for the majority of the video. At one point, during a particularly resource-intensive Nico Minoru animation, the DLSS 3 environment’s frame-per-second counter reads a staggering 188fps, while the other environment without the technology is running at only 73fps.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch versions still under development. The latest addition to the playable roster, Deadpool, was released on January 25 with a unique damage-amplifying mechanic and durability trait.
