New Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Trailer Pays Homage to Spaghetti Westerns

In celebration of yesterday’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 micro-DLC launch, developer Treyarch has put together nifty new trailer that pays homage to old 60’s Spaghetti Westerns.

The genre was a heavy influence for the Dead Man’s Hand weapon camoflage pattern and personalization pack that launched on the PlayStation 3 and PC yesterday, along with three other personalization packs; Octane, Beast, and Weaponized 115.

Each pack is now available on all platforms for $1.99 in the Black Ops 2 in-game store.

What’d you think of the new trailer. Pretty cool, hey?

  • Grif

Wait, IW put this trailer together?

  • Jeff Kazimer

I was wondering the same thing, Treyarch Developed this one…..Weird.

  • Brian

Uh… Shouldn’t it be TREYARCH put together the trailer?

I was thinking a few days ago, how funny it would be to “leak” that the next CoD would be called CoD Gunslinger and would be a western themed game. Would be weird if that would actually happen.

    • Grif

Honestly, I would love a western or space themed CoD. CoD is already un-realistic enough, why not have an un-realistic theme to it?

  • Jason Lane

Shown in the video: really bad aim, especially for three campers. An accurate but fun trait of the typical online FPS scrub. They make me feel like Stallone in Rambo 4. God love em.

  • My bad. Treyarch, not Infinity Ward. Been writing too many Ghosts articles lately!

  • Bmeowmix

Since when could dual Executioners kill in two shots from that far away?

    • Grif

Never lol. But hey, it’s a trailer so anything can happen!
