The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Campaign Trailer Is Filled With Super Secret Stuff, Watch It Here

Treyarch and Activision are giving fans a bigger and better taste of what Call of Duty: Black Ops 3‘s campaign mode, set in the year 2065, has in store for its release later this fall.

Clearly, some highly secretive stuff is going on in the new footage that the studio released today (above). There are even a few flashbacks to what appears to be the World War II era, which is pretty typical of these Black Ops games so far. We’re not sure, however, how this story might tie in to the other games, if at all.

Given the history of Treyarch’s previous titles that have toyed with ideas like mind manipulation and brainwashing, I have the feeling Black Ops 3 is going to be filled with plenty of twists and other crazy plot points. The trailer above alludes to it when the main protagonist says, “I can feel it taking over. Not even my mind is safe.”

Also, is that Reznov?

The timeline wouldn’t really make sense, but the silhouette totally of matches up with the way he was depicted in Black Ops 1. I could be way off. Either way, the trailer certainly has me wanting to come along for the ride.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 comes out November 6 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. However, due to the inability to ‘faithfully recreate’ Black Ops 3’s co-op campaign on older-generation hardware, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will only ship with multiplayer and zombies modes.

What’d you think of the story trailer?
