Treyarch Is #BackInBlack With Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Full Reveal On April 26

Publisher Activision has confirmed ‘Black Ops 3’ as the official title of the upcoming Call of Duty 2015 game currently in development at Treyarch.

Story, setting, and multiplayer details are still being kept under wraps, but the new teaser trailer, which you can watch above, suggests that fans will learn much more on April 26 when a proper reveal will take place.

The title announcement, which arrived a tad earlier than usual this year, was preceded by a viral marketing campaign that began with a recent Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 update earlier this week. A second update, along with the release of the game’s first marketing materials, led to even more clues.

Back when it was announced that Treyarch would be leading development on this year’s Call of Duty, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg noted that the shooter will be “loaded with innovation” and that it will be the first release for the studio on the franchise’s new three-year development cycle.

Now that the curtain has lifted, are you surprised? How do you think Treyarch might shake things up with Black Ops 3 this year?
