Spanning across movies, comics, TVshows, books, and of course, video games, the Resident Evil franchise is one massive behemoth when it comes it’s lore. And while Resident Evil 7 was meant as a fresh start for new players, it’s hard to ignore a lot of the overarching stories that expanded into it from past games. In fact there’s a ton of it, and with Resident Evil Village right around the corner and more evidence of past game lore coming back into the fold, we decided to bring on The Batman, a Resident Evil lore and story expert.
His credibility in the Resident Evil community is enormous, and he brings years of deep dives into the lore with it. With hundreds of hours researching and writing, The Batman has put together an entire chronological timeline of the RE franchise from start to finish, written with detail only a master of the lore could put together.
