New Dirt Rally 2 Gameplay and Track Info Revealed

Car Race

Dirt Rally 2 has quietly been getting some more information after it was announced that the game would be launching on the 25th of February in 2019. This new info includes a rough amount of how many cars will be in the game, and which locations players will be able to rally across.

Via its Steam Page, Codemasters says the six locations players will be able to rally across will be Spain, Poland, Argentina, New Zealand, and the USA with more tracks to become available post-launch. Players will also be able to drive over 50 cars at those locations including the VW Polo GTI R5, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, and the Citroen C3 R5.

As we previously mentioned in our article covering the announcement, Dirt Rally 2 will feature eight rallycross circuits of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Players can duke it out with their friends in multiplayer at locations like Barcelona, Montalegre, Mettet, Lohéac Bretagne, Trois-Rivieres, Hell, Holjes and Silverstone.

If you’re looking for gameplay of the new installment, you’ll find that it’s sparse. But the gameplay that does exist? It’s pretty good. Take a look.

But that’s not all. GameByte even have has an interview with Codemasters on the new game, including great insights on the design philosophy that goes into making a simulation-style game rather than an arcade one.
