While Treyarch has rolled out night variations of existing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 maps, the developer is now teasing something entirely different when it comes to the game. Over on Twitter, Treyarch has teased a Black Ops 4 new Specialist, along with an upcoming change to the Blackout map!

The official Call of Duty account tweeted a short teaser clip with the words “Pardon the interruption” written in jambled font.

Based on the silhouette, the figure in the video looks to be a woman, who’s walking while holding what seems to be an assault rifle.

The teasing doesn’t end there, however. The official PlayStation account also tweeted a teaser with the text “The Disruption is coming” and tagging it with the Black Ops 4 hashtag.

The hand, which presumably is from the same silhouette shown in the other teaser, seems to be holding some kind of grenade. Looking closely at the bottom left-hand side, we can see the dates 12.11.18, which signals to December 11, 2018, which is when this new Black Ops 4 Specialist will probably be made available.

Lastly, the official Call of Duty Twitter also teased the Black Ops 4 Blackout map showcased in a radar with the same 12.11.18 dates stamped.

Will we see something Black Ops 4-related later at The Game Awards? Maybe, given how the timing lines up. Whatever happens later, it seems Black Ops 4 PS4 gamers will have something to look forward to next week. In case you’ve forgotten, PS4 will get all Black Ops 4 content a full seven days early, before they make their way onto the Xbox One and PC.

What do you hope to see from this new Black Ops 4 Specialist? What sort of abilities would work given the game’s current roster?

In other Black Ops 4 news, Treyarch has confirmed that the Mercenary playlists will be making a return before the year’s done.
