Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Players Can’t Earn Reserves/Tiers After Hitting Tier 100

black ops 4 microtransactions revenue

Hoo-boy! This just keeps getting messier and messier. Just yesterday, we posted that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 community was in outrage after Activision introduced loot boxes into Black Ops 4. The addition of loot boxes in the game now puts the microtransaction sources in the game already at three, but it seems it’s worse than we thought.

It’s now been confirmed that once you reach tier 100, you will not be able to earn any more reserves! Remember how in past Operations where after reaching the last tier and completing the next ones yielded random reserves that contained random items? Yeah, that’s not happening now. This was confirmed by Reddit user TheCannabalLecter after Direct Messaging the official Activision Support Twitter account.

This is also explained better by YouTuber PrestigeIsKey.

Will Activision reverse this given the pitchforks being raised by the community? Let’s hope so. If ever they do, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Is this a non-issue for you given the items in the reserve are cosmetic stuff? Or is this just plain greed by Activision working overtime?

Hey geniuses, just an idea: start holding companies accountable. Everyone with some sense can see that these GaaS scams are all the same old mobile model scams. I’m not even upset at AAA companies anymore if doofuses keep right on buying these 200 different editions of the same mobile model scamming marketplaces that use every trick and gimmick from some one-trick-pony single map and mode, to some addictive flying gimmick, to fake “early access” to “limited seasons” – all to funnel you right into a store to buy more crap and more passes instead of real games without microtransactions or monetization whatsoever.

These are not games, they are shopping apps built to push you to shop more and more and more and more and more and more and moooooorrrrrrreeee. Wake up kiddos.
