Fortnite Meteors Are Crashing Down, Act Similarly to PUBG Red Zone

Fortnite Meteors

Fortnite meteors are finally starting to fall in the game’s Battle Royale component. Several users have managed to capture the comets falling using the Replay System. As they fall towards the ground, the meteorites destroy anything in their path. They don’t yet do any damage to players, but they do wipe out any buildings and player-created structures.

For those that have played PUBG, you may be reminded of that game’s Red Zone, in which missiles fall and take out anything unlucky enough to be in their path. Perhaps the Fortnite meteors have been inspired by that?

Here are some examples of the Fortnite comets falling:

In other Fortnite news, the game’s April Fool’s Day event was subtle yet fun, players can now get a refund for unwanted skins, and Epic Games is considering adding a Gun Game mode.
