Back in April, Activision released what fans have been expecting for for a long time in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Unfortunately though, it only included the campaign, and it looks like Activision has no plans to release a Modern Warfare 2 Remastered multiplayer anytime soon.
It seems the modding community is taking things in their own hands, as a group of modders are making Modern Warfare 2 Remastered using Call of Duty: Black Ops 3! While more details are forthcoming, there is an early screenshot of Rust revealed.

Needless to say, this is just for PC only it seems. Even so, we’re intrigued by this development and will report as more details surface.

The project is a disaster and looks like garbage compared to what can actually be accomplished provided they put more effort into the project. Rust is a bland mess. I offered them several HD props from the remastered campaign and all were turned down because they have this little dumb policy where they can’t accept outside help. They’re still using placeholder props which they insist on keeping despite the HD props being available. I told them which mission to get them on and they thanked me, yet did nothing. GunOfTruth also is the one who got James C Burns fired from Treyarch and replaced because he paid the actor to voice lines for him in a custom map, thus breaking the contract he had with Treyarch, meanwhile everyone is still pissed off at Treyarch for simply kicking him out because he violated their contract. The project will likely never be complete, and if it is, there will only be one or two maps, all of them not looking as good as they could look, all whilst the modders claim their work is legal because they’re talked to a legal consultant they won’t name which is heavily suspicious. I’m glad my friends stopped helping with that train wreck of a project.
