Last week, Infinity Ward announced that Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare would start on June 2 on all platforms. While that might have been the original plan, the studio and Activison has decided to postpone it due to the on-going protests amid the death of George Floyd.

Here’s the statement released by Activision announcing the Modern Warfare Season 4 delayed news, as well as pushing Season 7 of Call of Duty Mobile back as well.

While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time.

We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates.

Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard.

While we never touch on anything political here on MP1st as we’re a gaming site, we salute Activision and other gaming companies for standing up to what’s right and using their platforms to make people aware.
