While Team Ninja released a Nioh 2 patch two weeks ago, the studio has rolled out a new one, and it’s live now at this hour. Nioh 2 update 1.08 has a fair number of gameplay changes and tweaks. Check out the full Nioh 2 update 1.08 patch notes below.

Note that the official patch notes below are via Google translate, so some of the sentences and wording might read a bit odd, but the general idea is there.

Adjusting Yokai skills
Made changes to some yokai skills that felt like they weren’t doing enough damage or didn’t have enough of an impact.
  • Kasha Soul Core
    increase the damage dealt, lower the amount of anima used
  • Daidara Bocchi Soul Core
    made changes to the hitbox so it can also hit what’s directly in front of where it appears
  • Shuten Dojo Soul Core

Maybe its just time to move on to a new game if melting things instantly with no effort is something that you need to get through Nioh 2

WTH ? anima cost of serpent now EIGHT instead of 5.. as much as I love this game…this makes it total ..cr…why even bother with soulcore abilities at all.. a good dual combo does more damage..btw it STILL sucks you cant dodge with circle after playing sould sekiro for months I still press the wrong button a lot …only button you cant change..congratz on that one…

Yatsu-no-Kami was incredibly overpowered and needed a nerf desperately. If the 3 extra anima cost tanks your play, then your play needs dramatic improvement.
