Rumor: Modern Warfare Battle Royale Release Date Set for End of Jan. 2020, Battle Pass Planned Just for the Mode

modern warfare battle royale release date

Just a few months ago, a rumor surfaced that this year’s Call of Duty game — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — will have a battle royale mode just like last year’s Black Ops 4. Mind, Infinity Ward has not debunked this rumor which further adds fuel to the fire. If this new rumor is to be believed, we now know the Modern Warfare battle royale release date — or at least the release window!

Over on Twitter, reliable Modern Warfare leaker TheGamingRevolution has mentioned that the Modern Warfare battle royale release date is set for the “end of January 2020,” though no specific date was mentioned. Oh, and it’ll be free-to-play (F2P)!

Not only that, but he adds that while there’s no Season Pass for this year’s Call of Duty, there will be a Battle Pass coming to the battle royale mode, though it’s up in the air whether it’ll come to multiplayer, too.

Again, just a reminder that this is not official confirmation, and this is still a rumor even if TheGamingRevolution has been pretty spot-on with his leaks, and it’s clearly evident that he knows someone from the inside.

Modern Warfare is set for release this October 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out here when the digital version will be unlocked, and you might be pleasantly surprised.
