While PlayStation Plus members have Call of Duty: WWII to play for free as part of the program’s monthly free games roll out, it seems the second game included is another shooter, and it’s none other than Star Wars Battlefront 2!
Apparently, this Star Wars Battlefront 2 free for PS Plus thing has been accidentally leaked by the PlayStation Instagram, which has now pulled the quick six-second ad. Thankfully, someone managed to capture it which you can watch below.
As you can see in the quick fly-by, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is shown briefly after Call of Duty: WWII. It also shows the Days of Play event Sony has announced previously. Of course, there is a chance this is a fake, and we’ve contacted Sony about this and will update the post if and when we get a reply.
If it is indeed Star Wars Battlefront 2, PS Plus members will have two fantastic multiplayer shooters to keep them occupied while we’re in this on-going pandemic. While DICE might have rolled out the last content drop for Battlefront 2, the game will still see new events and such from DICE.
Would you be OK with Star Wars Battlefront 2 being the second freebie or would you want a title that’s on a different genre?
Thanks, PS Plus subreddit!
