While The Division 2 just had a beta, it’s a private one reserved for those who pre-ordered the game, or got a key via promotional items. If you’re looking forward to playing it but can’t pre-order it or won’t, rejoice! Apparently there’s going to be a The Division 2 open beta!
During today’s The Division 2 livestream (spotted by TiniestBuckle) by Ubisoft, the developers casually mentioned how they’ll fix some of the issues plaguing the private beta in the open beta, which is apparently a thing! Check out the developers causally mention it in the video below.
Of course, this isn’t surprising at all given how developers usually want to do a stress test of the servers and such when it comes to online games. Unfortunately, no specific date, time, or schedule has been mentioned, so we’ll have to wait for the official announcement just to be sure.
There is a chance that the developers are mistaken, and we’ve emailed Ubisoft to clarify and will update the post if and when we get a response.
In other The Division 2 news, go check out the complete map of the game which includes marked areas for the districts and Dark Zones.
Stay tuned to MP1st’s hands-on impressions of the private demo hitting the site very soon.
Not gonna sugar coat this: The beginning of the Division 2 Beta looks like its on PS2/360 consoles. The textures, the graphics, everything is just bland and bad.
When first playing Division 2 you may find yourself saying:
“This? … this is it???? this is THE game????????”
The problem with Division 1 was after the great story missions, it was very boring endgame content.
The major problem with Division 2 is a boring story mission, along with the same type of boring endgame content and split up the dark zone areas.
Go ahead, play Division 2, you will see it’s boring AF.
Disagree with almost everything you said.
The mission and side missions were enjoyable, the graphics are very nice (X1X) and I wasn’t bored at all. In fact after 4 hours of beta playtime, I can’t wait to play more.
I also have X1X on Samsung 4K HDR …. what about the below image from Division 2 is so good?
So I didn’t play but watched some streams and videos and your opening statement lost you all credibility. The game looks good graphically and nowhere near what you said and is being praised as fun, why come on here and make yourself look stupid? The only people that will rally to you are the new breed of circle jerk hatewagons and are the scum of the gaming community, are you one of those too? It would make sense after reading your asinine comment.
Did you play the beginning sequence of Division 2??? Did you PLAY it??? If your answer is no, then please shut the F up kid …. you WATCHED streams …. wow kid …. wow … the beginning of DIvision 2 is so poor and bad you will find out yourself one day …
There are MUCH better games that showcase 4K HDR, divison 2 is not one of them …. I have attached an in-game image of Division 2 gameplay ….. enjoy, its quite awful
Looked great on my PC, can’t speak for the base consoles though.
I have the X1X along with Samsung 4K HDR10+ tv … Division 2 textures and overall environment are garbage … there are much better games out there … division had its time and lost it …. its literally the exact same bullet sponge shooter with weak content and abilities, now without any cool snowstorm effects and its located in DC instead of NYC … and wow dark zones are split up
I feel for console owners then.
They should have added vehicles….at least motorbikes like in Homefront: The Revolution, for the SP content. The constant running on foot got really old, really fast in TD1.
