In case you didn’t know, Ubisoft announced a new The Division spin-off going the free-to-play route with The Division Heartland. While there’s no release date set for it just yet, loads of The Division Heartland gameplay has made its way out via the closed alpha test!

There are multiple videos featuring gameplay, as well as one where Lead Game Designer Taylor Epperly explains the game itself.

Here’s the official description of what Heartland is from the press release sent last week:

Ubisoft unveiled Tom Clancy’s The Division®Heartland, a brand-new free-to-play game set in the universe of The Division. Development is being led by Red Storm Entertainment, a studio with close ties to the Tom Clancy licenses, who have also worked on The Division and The Division 2.  The Division Heartland will be a stand-alone experience available on PC, console and cloud platforms in 2021-22. Ubisoft also announced plans to take The Division franchise to mobile, bringing the universe to an even wider audience. More details on this project will come at a later date.

Yep. It looks like a The Divison game, alright!

Once we know more details regarding this free-to-play game, we’ll let our readers know.

Thanks, Reddit!

Lol shove that nda where the sun don’t shine ubi, you won’t ever get my money ever again so I’ll enjoy playing this free game without supporting it with a single cent for as long as possible.

You don’t get how binding ndas are they find out you leak shit you get sued for a lot of money there’s reasons companies have non-disclosure agreements. Technically you have an NDA with a college or high school when it comes to your personal information like your grades so do you want that just leaked because NDA is whatever you can shove it up your ass. And get over yourself you Ubisoft made some or published some of the best games this year. Phoenix rising has got to be one of the most well supported games I’ve ever seen. Just cuz you want to be a edge Lord and fucking hate Ubisoft grow up

Their last good game was almost 10 years ago now all they do is copy/paste their old stuff and call it a new game, fenyx rising is garbage and a zelda copycat that even fails at being a decent copy, enjoy mediocrity

I wouldn’t be that harsh, but yeah, I get where you’re coming from. Still, The Div with crossplay and for free? I’m in.
