Here’s something new: Activision has announced that Call of Duty games (various titles) will have its servers taken down for maintenance this May 3. If you’re seeing Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 down reports, it’s because of this. Read on for the details, as Call of Duty rarely, if ever, gets any server downtime.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, Call of Duty Games Down Schedule and Info for May 3:
Here’s the announcement from Activision:
Heads up! We have some scheduled maintenance for 30 min tomorrow, May 3rd, between the window of 2 AM to 4 AM PT, that will prevent players from logging into Call of Duty titles.
Players already online during this time should be able to continue playing but may encounter Account or Social errors. View Online Services here:
Obviously, we’re expecting Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players to feel this outage more than anyone else., but given that players are no doubt playing older titles from the franchise, you might be wondering what’s up. Well, this is your friendly reminder that it’s scheduled outage, so there’s nothing to worry about.
Same as always, if there’s any changes to the maintenance schedule, we’ll update the article to reflect it. We are not expecting any patches to be released alongside it but if there’s any pushed out, we’ll let our readers know.

KNOWN ISSUES
Some textures on Hideout may appear to be missing on console
Titanfall director Steve Fukuda is apparently working on a new project alongside a “very small team” within Respawn Entertainment, according to a recent interview with EA executive and Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella. The project in development was confirmed to not be Titanfall 3, either.
In an interview with Axios Gaming, Zampella revealed that while Respawn would love to work on Titanfall 3, the game currently isn’t in development. This echoes a recent statement made by Zampella days ago, where he stated that while he would “love to see it happen,” it also “has to be the right thing.” This also seems to align with a recent report that an in-development Titanfall game called “Titanfall Legends” was canceled months ago.
Though Fukuda may not be working on a Titanfall sequel, fans of his work may be in for a treat, as he and his team are looking to “find the fun in something new.” This may allude to a new IP or some form of game or project that’s different from what Respawn has released thus far, though we can only speculate as to what this means for the moment.
Respawn Entertainment’s most recent release in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has received mixed reviews from critics and fans, with major performance issues bogging the game down, particularly on PC devices. You can read our review of the game here.
Re-Logic has released Terraria update 1.33 on consoles today, and this seems to be one of the final updates to the game, as the studio mentioned they are shifting gears to bring version 1.4.5 over to console and mobile platforms. Read on for what’s new in the Terraria May 2 patch notes.
Here’s what got changed via the PS4 update history:
What’s new!
· Improved the way backgrounds zoom in and out
· Fixed an issue where the game would crash after creating two small worlds consecutively
· Fixed an issue where the Aether Monolith was not giving off light
· Fixed an issue where the seaweed in ocean caverns would not be visible
And much more!
In addition to that, the developers also posted the following regarding the latest news on the console and mobile versions of the game:
CONSOLE & MOBILE – DR STUDIOS
Now that the development work on the technical updates is complete, the team at DR has shifted gears towards bringing 1.4.5 over to Console and Mobile platforms! The technical update (1.4.4.9.2) should be rolling out to everyone soon, so keep an eye out for that and let us know if you encounter any issues whatsoever.
With that said, wish us luck on the Terraria 1.4.5 path… as with Labor of Love, our goal is to launch simultaneously alongside PC – hopefully with a GLOBAL simultaneous launch this time around. We may have some other surprises in store, but it is much too soon to know if those will work out so we will just leave you wondering for now.
So, keep an eye out for 1.4.4.9.2 and look forward to us sharing our progress as we catch up to what the Re-Logic team has already done for 1.4.5!
Oh yeah, and wish us luck as we get prepared to enter the wild world of Crossplay development soon.
You can check out the on-going console and mobile bug reports to see if any issues you encountered is listed there.
Once a new patch is released, we’ll let our readers know. Just remember that these are few and far between.
After first revealed early this year, the Gran Turismo movie finally has a full-length trailer featuring the overarching plot of the story. The Gran Turismo movie trailer follows the story of Jann Mardenborough, who manages to enter the world of professional racing through his skills at racing video games.
You can watch the trailer below:
Mardenborough is played by Archie Madekwe, with a supporting cast portrayed by actors such as David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, and more.
Alongside the new trailer, PlayStation Blog released an interview with Neill Blomkamp, the director of the upcoming Gran Turismo movie. In it, Blomkamp reveals a couple of cars set to make an appearance in the film.
Q: On that note, what are some of your favorite cars that make an appearance?
A: I mean, there’s a Generation 1 NSX at the beginning of the film, which is a big deal for me. I have a lot of love for that car.
And at the other end of the spectrum, we also wanted some really glitzy choices that would be true easter eggs for car lovers—like the Koenigsegg Gemera, a still-unreleased car, a 4-seater with 1700 horsepower. It’s kind of like a Bugatti Rolls Royce.
The Gran Turismo movie is set to premiere exclusively in theaters this August 11.
The new Overwatch 2item shop rotation for May 2, 2023 is out now, meaning that another round of character skins and other cosmetics is available now through the in-game store. Items can be purchased with Overwatch Coins.
That’s about it for this week’s new Overwatch 2 store refresh. In case you didn’t know, Blizzard announced recently that each major in-game event will feature a free skin which players can earn through playing, just like the first Overwatch.
Blizzard Entertainment has deployed Diablo 2 Resurrected update 1.25 (PS5 version 1.025) this May 2, and this is for patch 2.7! Players can expect Ladder Season 4 to launch soon, new character slots and more! Read on for the official patch notes.
Ladder Season 4 will begin on May 4, ushering in a new opportunity for brave adventurers to race to Level 99 and amass powerful loot along the way. We cannot wait to see which determined souls carve their name into the Leaderboard this time.
Ladder Season 4 Launch Timing:
North America
May 4, 5:00 p.m. PDT
Europe
May 5, 2:00 a.m. CET
Asia
May 5, 10:00 a.m. KST
As it was with previous seasons, Ladder Season 4 will feature different modes:
Version
Description
Pre-Expansion Ladder
The standard version of Ladder play that encompasses playing only with the original four acts.
Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder
The hardcore (only one life) version of Ladder play that encompasses playing only with the original four acts.
Ladder
The standard version of Ladder play that encompasses playing five acts, as it includes the “Lord of Destruction” expansion content.
Hardcore Ladder
The hardcore (only one life) version of Ladder play that encompasses playing five acts, as it includes the “Lord of Destruction” expansion content.
For those new to Ladder Seasons, you might be wondering what happens to your Shared Stash loot once the current season ends.
Once Ladder Season 3 ends, all Ladder characters will be transferred to their respective non-ladder group. All items in that character group’s shared stash go into a new Withdraw Only set of Shared Stash tabs, denoted by a check marked Past box. Any items from Ladder Season 2 stored in the Withdraw Only tabs will be lost at this time. You will have all of Ladder Season 4 to withdraw any items you would like to keep from Season 3. When Ladder Season 4 ends, this withdraw only set of stash tabs will be overridden with any items in the Ladder Season 4 Shared Stash. Be sure to get any items out before then or they will be forever lost!
Feature Adjustments
Players will now have 4 additional Character Slots available across all Online Modes.
The first time a Ladder character from a previous season is used in a non-Ladder game, the ability to Reset Stat and Skill Points at Akara will be reset. Characters from previous Ladder seasons who have already been used in non-Ladder games are ineligible.
Developer’s Note: We want to encourage players to experiment with their builds. If you have already burned through your Akara respecs while on Ladder, then you can do additional respecs for more experimentation after the character becomes a Non-Ladder character.
All Chat Lobbies have been outfitted with an automated system which will remove malicious messages from those conversations.
Quality-of-Life Updates and Bug Fixes
Gameplay
The Next Hit Delay system now only applies to missiles created by casting the same skill.
Each Assassin Martial Arts charge-up skill trigger is treated as a different cast of a skill for Next Hit Delay purposes.
Developer’s Note: We have revised Next Hit Delay to become an easier concept to grasp while still maintaining its original design goals. This change will alleviate some headaches in multiplayer and smooth the edges of certain character builds.
Knockback has been removed from the Bul Kathos’ Sacred Charge 2-Handed Sword.
Developer’s Note: Bul Kathos is a powerful set, but the Knockback incurred from Sacred Charge made using it feel clunky for Melee characters. Considering the rarity of the set, we opted to increase the viability of the weapon and the weapon set as a whole.
Druids are now able to shapeshift directly between their Werewolf and Werebear forms.
Developer’s Note: Shapeshifter Druids using the Metamorphosis Rune Word are encouraged to swap between their Werebear and Werewolf forms to get the most out of the bonuses. In practice, this is a little clunky because you must shapeshift to Werebear, hit a monster, shapeshift back into Human, wait a second, Shapeshift to Werewolf, then hit a monster (or wolf then bear, depending on your preference). We’re taking out the middleman (literally) to make swapping between forms feel cleaner.
The Assassin’s trap skills now benefit from +% To Elemental Skill Damage modifiers.
Developer’s Note: We have identified an issue with +% to Lightning skill damage not applying to lightning sentries on Nintendo Switch offline games. We plan to amend this issue in a future patch and apologize for any inconvenience.
Fixed an issue where Mephisto would drop from lower-level treasure classes when Terrorized.
Fixed an issue where an Assassin dying with Martial Arts charges active could cause a crash in Offline play.
Fixed the issue where the Assassin’s traps weren’t benefiting from resistance reduction in Offline play.
General
Fixed a translation issue for the Reached max character limit text in Polish.
Fixed an issue where progressing between towns and connected zones from Acts II, III, and V would cause an abrupt lighting change when terrorized.
Fixed an issue where the icon to denote a monster is Terrorized wasn’t properly displaying in certain languages.
Fixed an issue where the Amazon’s audio cue for dodging an attack would play when non-Amazon characters used the Evade skill granted by the Hustle Rune Word.
Amended various stability issues encountered during Online play.
Ladder Play
Fixed an issue where messaging for the next Ladder Season was inaccurate during the pause between seasons.
Fixed an issue where characters that were recently converted from Ladder to Non-Ladder would not display as such and failed to join games.
Fixed an issue where Rune Words exclusive to an upcoming Ladder Season could be created in the current season.
Fixed an issue where converted Ladder characters would be incorrectly displayed with the Ladder flag.
PC Specific
Fixed an issue where controller input would stop registering if the user swapped to Legacy graphics while the animation for selecting a character in the character creation screen was playing.
Players will now be notified of when they’re running the game with old, extracted data.
Console Specific
Fixed an issue where a player’s displayed location on the Friends List wouldn’t properly update on Xbox consoles.
Fixed an issue where players on Nintendo Switch would not appear in the Recently Played With tab.
Fixed an issue where the localized text for Personalized Items on console displayed all gendered pronouns at once in Polish and Spanish.
Modding
Increased the total limit of state entries from 255 to 511.
Added DataVersionBuild.txt. It is recommended that mod authors include this file in their mods to reduce unexpected errors between game versions.
New columns have been added. Developers of existing Offline Single Player mods can remake their changes with new data or they can add new columns manually before merging.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ PS4 and Xbox One release date has been announced for May 11, and a fourth DLC for the game is also set to launch on the same day, featuring Storm, a new playable hero. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will also come with the previous DLCs in Venom, Morbius, and Deadpool.
You can watch the trailer for the new DLC, titled “Blood Storm,” below:
Expand your adventure with Storm in Blood Storm, the fourth and final post-launch DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Storm can unleash powerful wind and lightning based attacks, bringing with her 10 unique Hero abilities. Plus, enjoy new story missions, a brand new Abbey Upgrade, and some fresh cosmetics for one of the most powerful mutants on the planet!
You can grab the DLCs for Midnight Suns if you purchase the Legendary Edition of the game or the Midnight Season Pass. It’s also worth mentioning that a Nintendo Switch version of the game is no longer in the works as mentioned on the official website, so if you’re looking to try the game out, you’ll have to do so through the other consoles or on PC.
In our Marvel’s Midnight Suns review, we gave the game an 8/10 score, with its large cast of playable heroes and a plethora of content being held back by missions that can take up just a bit too much of your time to do.

In case you didn’t know, Tekken 8 is skipping last-gen platforms, and will be the first franchise entry exclusively coming to current-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC). While it’s easy to assume that the added horsepower of the current-gen hardware is what helps the game stand out, that isn’t exactly the case.
In the latest issue of PLAY magazine (issue #27), Tekken franchise boss Katsuhiro Harada mentions that it’s the PS5 SSD (solid state drive) that’s proving to be the game-changer for the new generation of consoles. Given it helps put people into matches way faster than your standard harddrive, this means that gamers can get into rematches much faster. According to Harada, “That’s probably even the biggest thing that’s gonna evolve the player experience in the game.”
Mind, this isn’t to say that Tekken 8 isn’t taking advantage of the added horsepower of the new consoles, as the various gameplay clips we’ve seen so far indicate that it has an added layer of sheen and better overall graphics compared to to its last-gen predecessor, Tekken 7.
In other Tekken 8 news, Harada also confirmed that rollback netcode and crossplay will be available in the fighting game. No word yet on a release date, but Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed that it will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Combat
Arrow Cam
Addressed an exploit where players could interact with objects through Arrow Cam
Takedown Threshold
Takedown requirement has been adjusted to 25 from 50
To encourage players to use more of their potential combat options (and to give longbow users their fair chance at a takedown), we have adjusted the takedown threshold to 25 for a takedown credit.
Parry
Fixed an issue where players could get disarmed when out of stamina during Active Parry
Slightly increased the width of the parry box to increase its effectiveness against late stab drags
Certain weapons like two-handed spear and longsword were able to get around the parry box at the tail end of their stab attacks via dragging. This change addresses these instances where the attack should have been blocked.
Fixed an exploit where certain weapons could circumvent an opponent’s parry when feinting from Slash to Alt Slash
Certain weapons like the Longsword, Messer, and other thin weapons could circumvent an opponent’s block through the use of Slash to Alt Slash feint attacks. To address this, the positioning of a player’s block was slightly adjusted to close any front facing gaps.
Jabs
Addressed an exploit where jabs could circumvent cooldown when jabbing after a dodge
Addressed an exploit where jabs could circumvent cooldown when part of an attack combo
Addressed an exploit where jabs could circumvent cooldown when used after a combo feint
Fixed an issue where jabs would come out faster while holding an offhand item
Slightly reduced horizontal size of jab’s hitbox
The jab’s horizontal radius has been slightly decreased for polish and to allow it to be dodged a little more successfully through the use of footwork and crouching. In addition, multiple instances where the jab could circumvent cooldown under certain combat conditions were addressed to maintain consistency.
Shields
Fixed an issue where the pavise shield would disrupt player movement
Fixed an issue where shields on the player’s back would make them a bigger target for attacks
Heavy shields now block all projectiles when equipped from the back
Shields were unintentionally increasing the player’s hitbox, allowing attacks to land hits outside of expected collision conditions. This fix addresses this concern as well as adding another feature for heavy shields during combat.
General
Addressed an exploit where the flaming chicken could damage and set teammates on fire, to prevent griefing
The Flaming Chicken griefing exploit fix was initially done for 2.7 but was held for release for further fixes that had to be addressed as a result of this change.
Addressed an exploit where heavy attacks and feint attacks could be canceled in neutral after a previously successful attack
If the player had previously landed an attack against a player or object that could receive damage, the player could at any point cancel a heavy or feint attack into block during neutral engagement. This resulted in noted exploits in the community such as “quadruple feints” and more.
Added bonus score for Defense
In order to further encourage players who are on the Defending team of a given Team Objective map, bonus score is given to those who defeat Attacking team opponents.
Fixed an issue where players would be kicked for team damage from objectives
Certain objectives have the functionality to cause damage to players. This damage applies universally. Situations like the ram on Lionspire or petards on Falmire had the chance to kill too many players on the same team, causing the game to unfairly kick the player who initiated the objective for excessive team damage. This issue was addressed in light of this.
Addressed an exploit where players could attack faster than combos through spamming counter inputs into blocks
It was discovered that if a player inputs a counter, inputs block after a successful hit, and then inputs another counter attempt afterwards, their attack speed would be faster than a typical combo. This was noted to be effective with certain weapons such as the one-handed mace or two-handed spear. The pace when counters come out after a previous successful hit was slightly adjusted as a result. This does not impact counter input speed.
Fixed an issue where players would sometimes teleport while dodging or tackling
Fixed an issue where players would not switch to their secondary weapon after the primary weapon has been used up
Fixed an issue where team damage would stop healing when out of combat
Fixed an issue where players could maintain sprint speed while holding crouch on run in spawn
Fixed an issue where interacting with objects while using the controller would cause the emote wheel to appear
Fixed an issue where dying to a spike trap after being healed by a teammate would penalize the teammate’s score for team killing
Addressed an exploit where Horse momentum could be used for massively increased damage against destructible objectives
Weapons and Carryables
New Weapon – Heavy Cavalry Sword
Fixed an issue where the Vanguard sprint attack would have inaccurate tracers
Adjusted tracers for all weapons to address handle hits and further swing-throughs discovered
Many weapons were able to land hits earlier than intended due to tracers encompassing the handle of the weapon. Most notable offenders include weapons such as the poleaxe and pickaxe. To address this, tracers for all weapons were readjusted.
Bandage Kits
Fixed an issue where bandage kits would bounce off of teammates
Bear Trap
Fixed an issue where triggering a bear trap while sitting on a bench would cause the player to desync
Bottle
Fixed an issue where if the player threw a bottle while holding an offhand item, the player would wield their two-handed weapon with one hand
Catapults
Fixed a rare issue where loading a rock would not bring out the player’s primary weapon
Removed longshot bonus from Catapults
Players using catapults in early objective stages such as Stage 2 of Lionspire were able to climb the scoreboard early on in a match. Given the destructive capabilities of the catapult in comparison to other range based weapons of warfare, this was addressed by removing this bonus per kill.
Crossbow
Fixed an issue where the player would disconnect when using a melee attack followed by a reload
Greatsword
Fixed an exploit where the special attack could hit on frame 1 when looking all the way down
Heavy Mace
Adjusted stamina loss reduction from 20% to 10%
Horse
Fixed an issue where in certain situations rear kicking an opponent would make the opponent unable to move forward or backward
Javelin
Fixed an issue where refilling ammo would not auto-equip the weapon if the player had no other weapons in their hands
Katars
Fixed an issue where the sprinting special attack hitboxes were ending too early
Extended tracer duration by a few frames for the stab and slash attacks
Increased sprint attack damage from 30 to 60
Made headbutt timing faster to match it more in line with jab like other weapons
Decreased stamina drain when blocking attacks
Adjusted tracers overall for special attack
After further review and from player feedback received, it was noted that Katars were severely underperforming in comparison to other weapons. These changes aim to increase the unique strengths of the Katars as well as to allow them to have more opportunities in head to head engagements.
Messer
Fixed an exploit where the special attack could hit on frame 1 when looking all the way down
Poleaxe
Adjusted stamina loss reduction from 20% to 10%
Quarterstaff
Adjusted stamina loss reduction from 20% to 10%
Addressed an exploit where quarterstaff could indefinitely input slash attacks without running out of stamina over time
Sword
Fixed an issue where the sword would be unable to be picked up if using the Cross Hilt Sword customization variants
Throwing Knives
Fixed an issue where refilling ammo would not auto equip throwing knives while holding a one-handed weapon
Throwing Axe
Fixed an issue where refilling ammo would not auto-equip to the weapon if the player had no other weapons in their hands

Signing into a different account while the game is open keeps the same friend invite code
New leader’s name does not display for other clients on pop-up banner when old leader leaves
In game UI may not list all players in the party
Xbox Series X cannot remove a Steam friend
General
Achievement progress visually does not track (but does increment properly behind the scenes). Firing 1000 arrows achievement for example will not properly represent how many arrows you’ve fired, but it will still update the actual number and unlock at 1000.
Shield users are unable to charge attack and tackle when projectiles are in the shield
Occasional screen hitching/freezing when playing
Occasional state mismatch between client and server for counter success or riposte success
1P mesh is being used for shadows
Kills on the progression tab are not incrementing properly
Attacking with your player and kicking with the horse at the same time locks horse movement to right and left (workaround is to kick again to unlock horse movement)
Customization
[PC] (Potentially Resolved) First spawn in a map results in an uncustomized shield
Console
Console players may experience trouble reporting other players

What is the Fallout 76 Atomic Shop?
The Atomic Shop is a microtransaction store which offers cosmetics, C.A.M.P. objects and more in exchange for a special currency called Atoms. Most purchases are unlocked account-wide, and may be accessed by any character on the account.
Some objects require an in-game plan to be learned in order to gain access, while other items are only unlocked for a single, specified character. All exclusive items are character-bound, and cannot be dropped or traded with other players.
The Atomic Shop is accessible at any time from the main menu, as well as the pause screen after leaving Vault 76 for the first time.
That’s it for this week’s reset. Is there anything in particular that interests you?

Apex Legends‘ 17th season is all set to go live on May 9, bringing a World’s Edge map update, Weapon Mastery, a redesigned Firing Range, and much more. Additionally, Respawn is also looking to further enhance the game’s competitive systems with Apex Legends: Arsenal’s Ranked updates, retiring the old Ranked Points (RP) in favor of bonus-based Ladder Points (LP) system, incorporating a hidden Matchmaking Rating (MMR) system, and removing the midseason split reset as well. Each change has been explained in detail below.
In continuation of efforts to create a fairer matchmaking system, the developers will be adding a hidden MMR system to account for players’ actual skill levels at both the high and low tiers of play. The change is especially important for highly-skilled players who are returning to the game after a period of inactivity and find themselves placed in the lower divisions of the competitive ladder. To negate premade advantage, premade duos and trios will accordingly have their MMR slightly increased during matchmaking.
Ladder Points (LP):
Ranked Points (RP) are being retired in favor of Ladder Points (LP), which take into account individual performance during a match to more fairly reward skilled players. The LP system revolves around Bonuses, of which there are three types:
Elimination Bonuses are given when your team eliminates other players. This bonus is individually calculated and multiple eliminations against the same players are discarded. To be clear: we use your personal individual kills, assists, and participations. In addition the Assist Timer has been increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds.
Rating Bonuses are given when your hidden MMR greatly out performs your Ladder Points, helping you catch up to where the system believes you should be.
Skill Bonuses are given when your team interacts with a stronger opponent or performs exceptionally in an unfavorable match.
Bonuses are directly tied to in-game placements, with any finish above the 10th position counting as a win for the new scoring system:
1 to 10th: Bonuses
10th to 20th : Loss Mitigations
LP Match Entry costs have been reduced to a flat 35 LP from the old 0-175 scaling system, with larger Bonuses negating this cost:
Players will start their Ranked journey in Arsenal from Rookie 4 with 10 Provisional Matches in which their ranking will be rapidly calibrated towards their actual skill levels. This will also be the case for each seasonal reset.
Ranked Structure:
The midseason split reset is being eliminated, and rankings will be only be reset now at the beginning of each season. Each division will now be a 1000 LP wide; for example, 5134 LP will be presented as Bronze 3 – 134 LP in-game. The promotion bonus and demotion penalty have been revised to 250 and 150, respectively, and players can now be demoted into Rookie as well. Finally, to prepare new players for Ranked, the Ranked Level Requirement has been raised from 20 to 50.
Apex Legends: Arsenal launches May 9 on all platforms. Stay tuned here at MP1st for the full patch notes and other updates closer to the launch of the new season.
UPDATE: The Japanese-language videos have now been replaced with newly-released English-language footage.
