Report – PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale: Activision Hints Crash Bandicoot

It seems that Crash may be making a splash (sorry) in the upcoming PlayStation brawler, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

In a recent Twitter conversation (now removed) including the Activision Twitter handle, a user tweeted his hopes that Crash Bandicoot might make it into the game. Activision responded as follows:

Perhaps we’ll have to wait until PAX Prime starts this weekend for an announcement.

In fact, Crash Bandicoot will be having his anniversary on the same day PAX begins. This may lead to a reveal of an HD collection of the Crash series along with him joining the All-Star lineup

Sweeeeeeeeeet. Used to love Crash Bandicoot on the PS1 when i was really young. Despite the fact that due to my lack of problem solving that i wasn’t able to finish the game, Crash Bandicoot will always have a special place in my gaming heart.

These are the characters I think that need to be in Royale (apart from the alleged leaked characters such as Raiden)

Crash Bandicoot – self explained

Spyro – another star character and with the success of Skylanders and the upcoming release of Skylander Giants it makes sense.

Aveline De’ Grandpre – The Assassin’s Creed series have always provided exclusive content for the PS3 and with the release of Liberation, it’s a great way to promote the game and the charatcer. Not to mention the roster needs more female pressence.
Lara Croft (new look): Everyone is talking about the new game and imo she is much hotter than the original. Plus it adds another great female to the roster.
Isaac Clarke – like Assassins and Bioshock, Dead Space has had exclusive content on the PS3 releases and having him will be a great surprise and variety for the game.
Sepiroth – I just think he’d be more diverse and unique compared to Cloud
Sora – the numbered series has only been on the playstation so it only makes sense.
Chimera – i highly doubt it’ll be a generic chimera but there is a level set in Resistance which was leaked and since the other fighters have their own home level, there must be a character from the game.
Jodie Holmes – the last girl pressence and since i thought the Heavy Rain characters weren’t that memorable it’s a perfect replacement. Plus it’s good to promote the game.

It’s good to know the roster for this game is not complete, this can mean other characters can be waiting for their reveal at PAX Prime. Who knows, maybe they will reveal the full roster.

As Joshua Rizk said, I really want Spyro in that game, in my opinion he really deserves to be in there.

Couldn’t care less about this game and looking at the preorder charts, nearly nobody does. It’s going to be a big flop!

this game with no crash is like SMB with no mario. hopefully they include lara and spyro (snake maybe?) as well also, I mean man, when I first heard of this game the first thing I thought of was crash and spyro.

….Dr-Freezy: why the freak does the new spyro look he has some kinda diseas from doing sooooooo much crack… Please someone tell me why at least the old spyro or the one from “new beginning with purple eyes” isn’t in skylanders? Putting spyro ” the character that made play station THE BEST back in the day ” in ps all star will make the game so much better and restore him to former well deserved glory.
