FOV Changer For Call of Duty: Ghosts on PC In The Works, Says Infinity Ward

In a recent update to Call of Duty: Ghosts’ official list of incoming improvements, senior community manager Tina Palacios has indicated that Infinity Ward is working on a Field of View changer for the PC version of the game.

Previously, PC users have had to resort to using third-party programs to tweak the game’s FOV, something that the studio recently stated is against the Ghosts Online Code of Conduct, specifically, for “PC users running third party software to manipulate the game.”

Today’s update reads, “FOV Changer for PC:┬áDon’t have an exact ETA, but we’re working to get this in.”

Shame we can’t get a FOV slider on consoles.

Please David…… o wait my fu@$ing eyes is burning me! xD

        • http://mp1st.com/ David Veselka

HAHAHA! I guess we better increase our FOV as well…

        • Kyle Jackson

Watch your back, I know what you look like from the side now!! :D

      • MegaMan3k

        ;)

    • Brian

FOV changer is pointless and wouldn’t work for consoles.

      • MegaMan3k

Can you explain your laughable opinion/statement?

        • Brian

Console gamers generally don’t need to adjust the FOV and even if they did it would be impossible to play. They normally sit further away from the tv/monitor so imagine playing on a TV >5ft away with a larger FOV than default. Also let’s not forget raising the fov can also drop your framerate which is a bad idea considering framerate has never been a strong point with console games.

being using the ghosts 3rd party fov since forver. never been banned

  • awkenney

Thanks for the heads up. Had it not been for this article, I wouldn’t have even known that IW backtracked on their policy regarding the 3rd party FOV changer.

  • James Mulhall

Seriously? It doesn’t take long to give users the option to change something that’s already in the game. Stuff like this should be available on release, it’s not like they didn’t think PC gamers would want it.

    • Oblivion_Lost667

You’d have thought they’d learn from other games, or even previous COD titles, PC gamers get very upset without a FOV slider.

    • Kyle Jackson

Someone made a FOV slider 3 days after the game came out, I know, I used it. Completed my cheeky copy of it, then deleted it. It.Was.Fucking.Shit.

    • lukazo

funny isnt it! how this multi-billion dollar company cant even do this for release yet small time indie devs and 1 man teams can do this for there games? kind of somes up this company really,

  • Delta8A

    ROFL@IW… seriously…

  • Jason Lane

So is there a difference between field view and point of view? Or is it the same thing?

    • Yevgenij Pekurovskyy

      google it

      • Jason Lane

        I don’t have internet. Duh?

  • Brian

Yet the fps limit is still there for NO REASON AT ALL.

  • betosobreira

Whatever… I always played COD on consoles, my first COD on PC is Ghosts… but it’s a shame, the pc version is silly and frustrating with so many framedrops. I have a PowerColor HD 6870×2 + Saphhire HD 6870 (Tri-Fire) and can’t have good framerate with this game, while Metro 2033 and BF3 I can play perfectly well at high frames per second. It was my first and last CoD on pc.
