Titanfall Cheaters Are Being “Rooted Out”, Aimbot Users Beware

Respawn Entertainment is ‘rooting out’ any influx of cheaters that Titanfall’s legitimate PC fan base may have had any unfortunate dealings with over the past 48-hour period.

Titanfall is only two days old in North America and already reports of “aimbotters”, cheaters using software to auto-aim or auto-snap their curser on to enemy players, are beginning to surface. The studio announced publicly that they will be taking proper action “soon”.

Finding cheaters in Titanfall? So are we. We’re logging them now and they will be rooted out shortly.

The team added that they are specifically targeting aimbot users “and such”.

Chams, walhacks and OPK count as “and such” but I’m not sure if any of those are present in game.

  OPK may not be possible in Titanfall, due to how the game was put together server side.

I’m pretty sure most of the auto-aiming and player snapping is inserted using custom scripts or macros right? Shouldn’t be to hard to fix.

Hence the reason I stopped playing online PC games. Granted, cheaters eventually find their way to consoles, but the problem has always been rampant in the PC universe and much easier to do.

  While this is true, depending on how popular the game is, the lower your chance of seeing a hacker really, as the number of legit players far, far exceeds them.

  I too moved from PC to console, but I’m back now and though still existent, it is much rarer than it was around 2007 – and there are more mechanisms for dealing with such.

  Dont worry Destiny on the PS4 is supposed to get more love than the Xbox 1 plat. I rather have a good RPG/SciFi FPS than this any damn day of the week.

    Thats terrible. PC people say oh we like mods and your consoles suck but PC’s also attract the cheaters. There’s a fine line between mods and cheating. I stick to my PS4..cough..That has no games..cough.
