Battlefield and Slim Jim Collide For Battlepack and Double XP Promotion

Interested in gaining a few additional Battlepacks or Double XP on Battlefield 4 come launch day? You’re in luck, because Slim Jim and Battlefield are in partnership to bring you Battlepacks and Double XP time for purchasing specially marked Slim Jim products.

Every code entered gives you credits to redeem Battlepacks or a Double XP Boost. Battlepacks are loaded with tons of in-game content like camos, dog tags, knives, XP boosts and more. You can unlock the bronze, silver, or gold battlepack levels using one to three credits.

HOW IT WORKS

HowItWorks

As seen in the image above, you have from three Slim Jim products to choose from, with two providing one credit and the other providing three credits. These credits can be applied towards more, or better prizes. Once you purchase your product of desire, open it up and a code will be displayed inside the packaging, so those looking to steal codes are out of luck. Redeem credits and apply them towards whatever prize you would like, whether that be additional Battlepacks or Double XP time. You’ll need to create an Origin account, or login to the one you are currently using in order to begin gaining credit towards your account.

Additional information on redeemable content can be found below.

REDEEMABLE CONTENT

RedeemableContent

The above image displays the Battlefield 4 related prizes you can build credits towards. Each unlocked item can only be redeemed on one platform. So let’s say for example you play Battlefield 4 on the PC and PlayStation 4 and you worked up three credits to redeem the Gold Battlepack, you would only be able to redeem that item on one platform of your choosing. Unfortunately, the website does not go into detail about how much Double XP time is provided with the one credit.

    USA only stopped caring

  • Alex Scott

USA again… Oh wait, you forgot the EU again. Brilliant, nice one my Swedish friends.

    • 8inister

This is EA’s handiwork, not DICE’s.

      • Alex Scott

True, but you’d think DICE would have their own brain, it happened last time with the coke or pepsi… Ah well, nothing we can do.

        • 8inister

You might think that if you didn’t know DICE is a wholly owned subsidiary of EA. You’re talking about the same company.

      • DanDustEmOff

EA is owned by PC moron.

    • Magooch

You can’t honestly think Dice has anything to do with this. It’s EA marketing you can blame for that.

  • zacflame

I wonder if anyone has thought of an XP food product promotion from a food product that people will eat, rather than buying several for the codes and throwing away.

    • James K

      Seriously. Sim Jim? *gags*

If it was XP Reese or Snyder of Hanover pretzels pieces promotion, then I will definitely do more than my fair share.

  • theplantain

    i’ll pass

  • 8inister

“I got your slim jim right here”.

    Oh wait

  • jj16802

No unique camo this time? Oh wait, that was Dr. Pepper last time, never mind.

  • DanDustEmOff

Anybody want to see my epic specs for my PC.

This promotion will be so much better on PC Bro. Yeah man EPIC.

  • Thefrenchman398

Great! Looks like I’ll be buying a ton of Slim Jim’s… *blah*

  • AtheistMason

    REMOVE BATTLEPACKS!!!

    • jj16802

EA is turning Battlefield 4 into the likes of Mass Effect 3 and Team Fortress 2…

  • NinoBr0wn

Yea I think I’ll do my unlocks the old fashioned way.

  • Kyle Jackson

“Expand your points, and your waistline, with this junk food promotion” This is just sad now.

    • WarHero

It seems alot of video games are promoted by tons of junk food, just look at Halo 4 with Mountain Dew and Doritos..

      • jj16802

You can thank market researchers for finding a “connection” between junk food and gamers.

  • Collision

K so how do they notice if they are or not to allow them or not ?

  • roland0811

Hey DICE…..just make a tactical shooter and shit like this wont happen. LMAO!

  • swipe_06

They should throw in a tactical steak and bacon weapon camo at least.

  • leeroy_newman

Keep going EA and DICE to make you look more stupid when they aleardy was.

  • CoDforever

    What are battlepacks ?

  • shawn

so those looking to steal codes are out of luck.

unless you just steal the whole slim jims of the checkout rack lol

  • Justin

Darn, id rather have the Doctor pepper promotion… oh well slim jims will have to do

  • CthulhuArisen

Slim Jims are disgusting. Please tell me I can unlock this stuff by playing the game without having to buy junk food that tastes like crap.

    • Oblivion_Lost667

You can, but even so, none of this stuff you unlock truly has an impact on your game, it’s all cosmetic.

      • CthulhuArisen

Thanks, that’s what I wanted to know. I’m not concerned about new skins, I just want to make sure that myself and the people I end up playing with, aren’t at a disadvantage just because we didn’t ‘pay-to -win’.

      • Daniel A DeLibro

20x scopes are not cosmetic, I just opened the 3 battlepacks i got from preorder. I got 6 different optics including a 20x scope alnong with a bunch of useless profile graphics and weapon camos

        • Oblivion_Lost667

This actually looks to be the only thing you can’t obtain a non-battlepack equivalent to outside of the terrible IR scopes and the laser/light combo (Though I only recently saw these, everything else stated it was just cosmetic.) But, at the same time, you can get a 40x scope, or a variable x14 scope for sniping, so the worth of the 20x scope seems very small. Same with the rest, unless you’re one of the few that actually really liked the IR scopes after the nerf in BF3.

Goto walwart buy a box of slim jims return them and say it was the wrong kind. Repeat the process with different cashiers

    ————————————————————————————————————

just a heads up. This promotion is a little different than you believe. First, YOU CAN ONLY GET EACH 1 ONCE!!! that means you can’t redeem 6 points for 2 gold packs, or 3 double xps. Plus, I found out today that even switching emails to reset the limiter will still result in not recieving the packs that you redeem for. I bought 15 slim jims, which = 15 credits. I went on my log and got a gold, silver, bronze, and double xp. I then saw I couldn’t get any more of those, so I did my instant wins and went over to another email to redeem the rest. I then got a gold, silver and double xp. I redeem the xbox codes that they give you, and went on battlefield 4 to look at my stuff. Only 1 GOLD, 1 SILVER, 1 BRONZE, AND 1 DOUBLE XP HAD APPEARED. Thinking that my console needed to download the other ones again, I dashboarded and saw that my downloads only had ONE OF EACH, NOT 2. You can only have one of each!!! So If you want everything useful out of this deal for battlefield, dont screw up like I did…Go buy eight if you want everything and don’t forget your instant wins. I got a Forza game on one of mine, so I not really worried about the money I lost on these meat sticks, but I don’t want someone to go buy a crapload and then cry on the web about how they couldn’t get more battlepacks than they ended up with.
