New Call of Duty: Ghosts Game Update and Micro-DLC Arrive

Call of Duty: Ghosts is getting updated across all platforms today.

Similar to the PC patch that went live a few days ago, the new update improves spawns, tweaks weapon balance, and introduces a few new bug fixes and Extinction improvements to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 version of Ghosts

In addition, a new set of micro-DLC is also available on the in-game store for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. You’ll find a new set of personalization items, along with new characters and even weapon DLC so you can get your hands on either The Maverick (assault rifle / sniper rifle) or The Ripper (assault rifle / SMG) if you don’t feel like picking up the corresponding map packs.

Check out all the details below:

  • Mr. Steve

Most of these customization packs/camouflages look horrendous, apart from the Nebula and Abstract ones.

  • Ryan Schulze

Will the monetization never end? $4 for a gun? In FTP it makes sense, but wow. Yes, you don’t to buy it, but doesn’t $5 seem like a lot for one weapon, even if it is a two way weapon?

    • MrMultiPlatform

      .>.>

    • PuddingAuxRais1ns

It does seem alot for a weapon but atleast you wont have to pay 15 dollers in order to get it.

      • NuttyTheSquirrel

        That’s not an excuse…
And if there are people that WASTE 15 dollars in a DLC just for the gun, they have serious mental problems.

        • MrMultiPlatform

Says they guy crying about shit in a game.

          • NuttyTheSquirrel

I’m “crying” about this because it’s fucking unacceptable. It’s a full priced game, that is still bugged and runs like absolute SHIT on PC and they keep throwing shit and us when the camos should be lower than 50cents. It’s not hard to paint a gun, specially if you use programs like Mudbox, where you can paint the gun in 3D, while most of the times the camos are done via Photoshop (2D). Both are really easy to do and they should be giving this camos for free. Or at least free for Season Pass holders.

Wasting another 60bucks on top of 60 from the game and 60 from season pass? That’s the definition of money-whores right there.

And what about selling shit that was already in the game? The wolf, the astronaut, Merrick, Rorke, Keegan, Hesh, Elias.
And the legends pack aren’t that hard either. They already had the characters from the older games, they just needed higher skin res. Done.

        • Angelreborn96

Well I used to get the Map packs for guns. Not for this game though. I’d rather buy the gun DLC instead

    • Bmeowmix

Well for the record, if they don’t buy the Ripper then they are at a big disadvantage compared to people thet do. That things hilarious

      • Angelreborn96

It’s overpowered is what it is.. Just Use the SMG and you’ll kill everyone

  • C BREEZY

Question guys – what’s going on with the map rotation in Ground War? You only get like 4 different maps in rotation whereas a month or so back I’m sure there was more variety.

EDIT: Mostly wondering why the Scrapyard remake never shows up anymore.

    • VEX_VEHIX

      EDITED EDIT: BLING.

  • VEX_VEHIX

    They lost me at “Bling”.

  • VEX_VEHIX

I feel bad for the youngsters who spend their lunch (Parent’s) money on this junk. It’s a crime really.

    • MrMultiPlatform

One day you’ll grow up. FYI the AVG CoD player is 3 years older than the Avg BF player.

      • VEX_VEHIX

Lol. You always make me laugh.

You are so passionate and overly defensive for CoD as I was for Socom 2. Which is why I hope H:Hour delivers.

Why are you angry with me if you are not the “youngster” (mentality, not age) who I was referring to? Oh wait….you buy ALL of this crap too? Now I get it. Hahahahah

        Just….ha.

      • Angelreborn96

Yeah. One day.. Doubt it though.

  • NuttyTheSquirrel

Can someone explain to me why the fuck does a Triple-A title have so many Micro-DLC???
And people say Battlefield’s Premium is bad, at least they give you and the fucking camos, knifes, guns, maps, etc…

    • inFamous2-VIC

They gotta get kids lunch money any way they can. If someone who were to see this works for marketing for CoD Ghosts, just know that you’re a monster.

      • MrMultiPlatform

Love how people show their ignorance on here. You know the AVG CoD player is 3 years older than the AVG BF player right?

        • matt671

You mean the other way round right every time I play COD the servers are just full of kids swearing and screaming down there headset

    • MrMultiPlatform

You’re not forced to buy them. I wish people would actually think before they post their ignorance on here.

      • Angelreborn96

        Lol everyone’s ignorant on here

        • VEX_VEHIX

Are you not a part of “everyone” here?

          • Angelreborn96

            Don’t start with me

            • VEX_VEHIX

              Lol. Ok tough guy.

            • Angelreborn96

What the fuck? Just because I said “Don’t start with me” makes you think that’s a “tough guy”? You’re fucking stupid, goodbye.

            • VEX_VEHIX

You stated that everyone here (including you and me) were “ignorant”.

So I asked you a simple question. Are you not a part of “everyone” here?

You then stated “don’t start with me” like an online tough guy.

              Why so mad?

            • Angelreborn96

              K.

            • VEX_VEHIX

That’s the smartest thing you’ve said yet.

      • VEX_VEHIX

With Sheeple like you, CoD will never die. The truckloads of dough you chuck at them should be a sin. A SIN I TELL YOU!

    • ROCKMONEY

Since the game did not recoup it’s production costs activision is now trying to make it’s money back by selling content that was initially cut from the game.

  • nb2030

holy crap !! 2 $$ for a gun skin !!!! seriously this kind of things keeps me away from this franchise !
