Call of Duty: Ghosts – Freight 24/7 Playlist is Live Today, Showtime 24/7 on September 5

Fans of Infinity Ward’s latest shooter have a couple of 24/7 playlists to look forward to in the coming days.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is getting two 24/7 playlists across all platforms — one today, Friday, August 22, and one two Fridays from now on September 5.

Influenced by results gathered from a recent survey, today’s playlist highlights the vanilla map Freight, while September 5th’s playlist will highlight the DLC map Showtime, a remake of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 map, Shipment, in celebration of the launch of Nemesis DLC on PS4, PS3, and PC August 4.

Infinity Ward made the announcement on Twitter:

What other Ghosts maps would you like to see get the 24/7 treatment? Also, what’s your take on the re-imagining of COD4′s Shipment? Is is better or worse than the original?

  • RustyFrags

Eh, Freight isn’t that good IMO.

    • MrMultiPlatform

      Better than srikezone.

      • awkenney

That’s debatable, factoring in whether or not you like verticality in your maps. I prefer Strikezone because it’s easier to recall and call out.

        • MrMultiPlatform

& throw explosives from on end to the other.

    • beast

your a stupid how is it a bad map the buldings are set perfect the spawns are well set its all around a good map .. better then most of them @sal #warhawk is a great map as well funn to play ..

      • Mr Frags

Thank you for responding to my two month old post.

As for your argument, I’m not sure shat you’re trying to prove, because what I said was completely subjective.

  • MegaMan3k

I am overcome with a realization of how unmemorable and non-distinct all of the vanilla maps are. So much so that I can’t even remember a map named “Freight.”

    • Guest

It’s disc maps…I don’t know why the hell you would call them vanilla.

      • Paul Thomas

its just the lingo for what comes as default. it means the same thing.

    • awkenney

Vanilla maps are tried-and-true IMO. Lanes and circles are proven to work in regards to the flow of movement. They also seem to have less spawning issues.

    • pulseimpact

The disc maps are a lot better imo. The only memorable DLC maps for me are Ignition, Fog, and Ruins. I did not buy DLC 4 though so I have no opinion on those. Personally, I would have rather had High Rise than Favella.

      • awkenney

Ignition suffers from the same issues as Scrapyard IMO in that it has to many crevasses and corners to check. And you it’s only a matter of time before there’s someone camping there. Fog is interesting. Wide lanes throughout. The spawns force movement. Very nice. Ruins is just plain garbage. It’s mostly all corners and begs to be camped with a shotgun. In the few lanes that it has, you’re hard pressed to move through them without sniper fire.

  • C BREEZY

Freight is certainly an odd choice

    • pulseimpact

It’s good for almost every game mode and one of the more popular maps in the game.

    • awkenney

Stonehaven would be an odd choice. I’m surprised that Octane hasn’t come up though in the 24/7 rotation.

    • J4MES

It’s probably the best of a very bad bunch of maps and everyone left on the game is sick to death of Strike Zone. It’s definitely a strange one to choose but IW are probably limited and can’t see too many people lining up for Siege, Stonehaven or Chasm 24/7 lol!

  • Enochrewt

It really speaks volumes to me that I played this game for 14 days time in-game and I can’t tell you which maps are which. As for shipment, ehh. Gameplay based on chaos and spawn camping doesn’t make for a good game.

    • MegaMan3k

Nope, but it’s what COD fans want.
Also why I hate COD fans. And what they’ve done to the franchise.

  • Sal

IMO Warhawk is the best map in ghosts.

  • Rex

I hate what they did to shipment :(

  • Bart

    I like Octane the most
