Ubisoft Releases New Concept Art for The Division

Ubisoft Massive has recently shared a new piece of concept art for their highly anticipated MMO shooter, The Division.

The latest piece of concept art shows a building that the character is looking towards, perhaps some sort of hub where players will be able to interact with one another in a more neutral play space.

Below is an in-game shot showing off the Snowdrop Engine’s impressive lighting effects and fog work, as well as the intense character detail. It may be an old screenshot, but it’s the first time we have come across it on Ubisoft’s Facebook page.

    Cannot wait.

The first screen looks interesting 🙂 Maybe Setting up camps is a possibility

    whats the game about?

Many Tom Clancy games have come out about Secret Agents and Special Operatives who are tasked with pretty much saving the world and stopping terrorists. This game is different because in The Division, the terrorists have succeeded and a government agency working in NYC is deployed to keep society from falling apart completely.

      • I featured your comment for being helpful. Thanks!

Not just that, they follow the formula that Tom Clancy set throughout his books in that they are all completely plausible. None of the Clancy books I have ever read have been way out in left field hodge podge plans. They could all really happen in real life.

GDC (Game Developers Conference) is this week and there’s usually new games/gameplay revealed, who knows.

Maybe we’ll even see a new Red Dead game.

When I click on the pictures, it just links me to this article all over again.

That said, looks like the main character is carrying some sort of LMG given the carry-handle visible. And the other character is carrying some sort of sniper rifle.

Can’t wait for this game, the concept art seems pretty in-line with what I’ve heard about safe zones.

I would love to see some gameplay explaining some of the systems of The Division.

Took me almost an hour to fix the image gallery, I hope it works a little better now. I’m no coder, I gave @niosus a heads up to patch it up later.

On topic, I can’t wait for more gameplay and specifics of how the game will work. I hope it’ll release this holiday season.

This game hasn’t displeased me since it’s reveal. No delays, no drawbacks and the gameplay look better than any TPS to date. I haven’t saw a game to match this type of gameplay even on a basic level. I also keep forgetting this is an MMO. Hopefully the devs get the money they deserve for putting all of their effort into this game.

Looks amazing, cannot wait for launch day =)

No delays? You know that it was supposed to be out around this time, now it’s delayed till the end of this year.

anf if they need more time i dont mind at all…let them work and do not do what EA did with DICE….just my 2 pesos.

      • Grif

No lol it was not supposed to be released in Q1 of 2014.

  • marpla78

I have so much hope in this game…long time since i have this kind of feeling…not even for BF3.

Please, for the love of any god…DONT RUSH THE GAME!! i can wait and i think a lot feel the same about the waiting game.

PS: great artwork, can we have the names of the artists?

This is my number one must have of this gen so far. I’m curious about Witcher 3 and Destiny, but the Division has me captivated with excitement and hope for a fun gaming experience.

P.s. I fear this will be pushed into 2015 though. Ubisoft has been shooting their load too early of late. Watchdogs anyone?

Call me racist, but all these “new” concept arts for The Division look the same to me.

This is THE game I’m looking forward to outside of MGSV Phantom Pain. I really hope the online is stable.

    a post-apocalyptic game with no zombies/mutants/aliens? FINALLY!!!

    the more realistic the scarier.

“just” a plague that kills millions.

survivors either work with the Govt. to keep things from falling apart or go against it and become marauders.
