Call of Duty Crossover Adds Rambo and Die Hard’s John McClane to Warzone, Black Ops Cold War & Mobile

Call of Duty 80's Action Heroes

Prepare to be bombarded with a dose of testosterone action movie nostalgia in the next few days, as  Activision has revealed a Call of Duty ’80s Action Heroes crossover — which adds Sylvester Stallone’s John Rambo and Die Hard’s John McClane as played by Bruce Willis into Call of Duty Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and COD Mobile!

Here’s the tweet announcing the stellar 80’s action to come to Call of Duty: Black Ops, Warzone, and Call of Duty Mobile!

As roles that helped define Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis’ Hollywood careers respectively, John Rambo and John McClane are literally action hero household names known the world over. First appearing in 1982’s First Blood, Rambo is a green beret war hero and Vietnam veteran who has seen his fair share of war and PTSD that has turned him into a lone wolf and mercenary who fights for his country while also battling personal demons. John McClane on the other hand is the no nonsense cop who headlines the Die Hard film franchise, and as the name implies he has gone through hell and back taking on the bad guys, blowing up buildings or planes just to get the job done and save the day. These two will fit in perfectly in the Call of Duty franchise.

While Rambo will be making an appearance in the CoD frontlines, he also recently appeared as one of the guest fighters for Mortal Kombat 11 — and you can check out gameplay trailer for that here.

Rambo and McClane will appear in the Call of Duty games starting May 20.
