Nintendo Switch 2 System Update 20.4.0 Rolled Out and It’s Nothing to Get Excited About
Nintendo has released the Switch system update 20.4.0, a minor firmware update that’s mandatory for continued online use of the console. This should be a minor download for console owners, and don’t expect any new features, as this is primarily for security and other backend improvements.

In most situations, the console will automatically download the most recent system update while it is connected online. You can verify your current menu version and manually start the update from the System Settings menu if necessary.
