Conan Exiles Update 2.20 on July 28 Applies Save-game Backup Tweaks

Funcom has released a hotfix for Conan Exiles, and this is available on all platforms right now, July 28.

Console gamers will see this download as Conan Exiles update 2.20, and while this doesn’t include new content, it does add in new features that help make the game take up less disk space, and there are also new items in the Black Lotus Bazaar.

Conan Exiles Update on July 28 Helps Save-game Backup Management

Features and Changes (Consoles)

General

• Automatic save-game backup management tweaks to reduce disk usage
  • XBox/PS4: Reduced the number of 5-minute interval backups retained in event of needing to perform an automatic silent restore after save corruption from 64 to 32.
    • This cuts the amount of disk space that Exiles Legacy savegames need by up to half, specifically for games that have been played for over 3 hours. There should be no other noticeable difference.

Black Lotus Bazaar

• Refreshed the items available in the Black Lotus Bazaar and added a free item slot that refreshes weekly.

Bug Fixes (Consoles)

General

• Fixed an issue on Playstation where Crom Coins purchased outside of the in-game currency store may not be delivered to players during their next login.
• Fixed an issue where attempting to rejoin a previous online session after a network disconnection could fail under certain circumstances, requiring a game restart to resolve.
• Fixed a character transfer issue where stored characters could be reimported repeatedly.

Features and Changes (PC)

General

• Automatic save-game backup management tweaks to reduce disk usage
  • PC & Servers: Reduced the number of 5-minute interval backups retained from 3 hours worth to 1 hour worth.
    • Dedicated servers running Exiles Legacy will require approximately 50% less hard drive space for saving backups.
    • Single-player and co-op will also use less disk space for savegame backups in play sessions lasting longer than hour.
    • Other automatic backups are unchanged:
      • Hourly backups for the last 24 hours
      • Daily backups for the last week
      • Weekly backups for the last 30 days
    • This cuts the amount of disk space that Exiles Legacy savegames need by up to half, specifically for games that have been played for over 3 hours. There should be no other noticeable difference.

Black Lotus Bazaar

• Refreshed the items available in the Black Lotus Bazaar and added a free item slot that refreshes weekly.

With the character transfer patch rolled out earlier this month, we’re not expecting a new update anytime soon, though we should get one next month.
