Valor Mortis Update 1.005

Developer One More Level has released Valor Mortis update 1.005 | 01.005.000, and this is for the PS5 version. Xbox and PC gamers should have received this update yesterday, and it’s a minor one but targets specific issues.

Read on for what’s new in Valor Mortis‘ latest title update in the official patch notes.

Note that some of the boss fixes might be considered spoiler-ish for some, so bear that in mind before scrolling all the way down.

Valor Mortis Boss, Quest Issues Resolved on October 23

Balance and Design Changes

  • Adjusted attack hitboxes for many enemies and bosses to better match their animations. This should prevent the feeling that attacks are hitting players when they appear to visually miss.
  • Tuned damage windows for several enemy attacks, including Risen Duelist, Eternal Guardsman, Howler, and others, which should improve hit consistency.
  • Improved the readability of attack windups for the Risen Sapeur’s push attack and the Risen Lancer’s unblockable red attack, making it more clear when they are coming.

Bug Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements

  • Fixed a bug with the Dual Sword Volunteer where combos could be interrupted by level terrain.
  • Fixed a bug where players could be permanently slowed down and unable to jump if they were crouching while getting hit.
  • Fixed a bug where players could have Burning status permanently applied after respawn.

    • Fixed an issue where players could miss the start point for the side quest.
