Destiny 2 Update 1.082 Runs Out for Guardian Games and Patch 7.0.5.2 This May 2 (Update)

Destiny 2 update 1.082 is now out on all platforms and this for patch hotfix version 7.0.5.2! This brings gameplay adjustments, fixes and the annual Guardian Games! Read on for what’s new in the new Destiny 2 patch notes, as well as the official info on this year’s Guardian Games event.

ACTIVITIES

CRUCIBLE

  • Fixed an issue where players were getting suspended in Crucible when completing a match without quitting.
  • Matchmaking for Clash, Zone Control, and Rift is now connection based.

SEASONAL

  • Fixed an issue where players weren’t able to complete the Last Will and Testament quest if they had picked up the Brazen Spark ship via the War Table. You can now go forth and complete the quest.

GAMEPLAY AND INVESTMENT

ARMOR

  • Fixed an issue with the Firepower armor mod where Orbs of Power were spawning at their origin point instead of on defeated enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where the Guardian Games class item could be dismantled for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

GENERAL

  • Moved the Twitch gift sub bounty rewards back to the Cryptarch.
  • Audio distortion has been improved on consoles and PC.
    • Final fix is coming at a later date.

Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2023 Details:

Schedule: May 2 to May 23

During Guardian Games, players will earn Medallions for activities across the game, including a class-based version of the popular PvP mode Supremacy. That’s right, get ready for even more fierce competition in the Crucible.

While participating in the event, players can earn two Guardian Games weapons:

  • Taraxippos – The first Legendary Strand Scout Rifle in the game.

  • The Title – The Void Submachine Gun is back with updates, including the fan-favorite perk, Repulsor Brace.

Also free for players is the Guardian Games Event Card. By completing challenges on their card, players can obtain cosmetic rewards like a new Exotic emote, the brand-new Champ title, as well as extra Triumphs. The Event Card can be upgraded for 1,000 Silver to unlock instant and additional earnable rewards.
