Just yesterday, Respawn released the Spellbound Collection Event patch for Apex Legends. While this should mean that players have new stuff to earn in-game, it also brought in connection issues that have yet to be resolved, as Apex Legends down reports are still surfacing today, January 11, 2023.

Over on the game’s subreddit, multiplayer players are still reporting on connection issues with some able to connect but matchmaking taking ages before it works.

Over on Twitter, Respawn announced that they are aware of the issues and are investigating it:

We're aware some players are having issues connecting to the @PlayApex servers right now when in/returning to the lobby. We're working on a fix and will reply to this tweet with updates as we have them. Thanks for your patience while we sort this out.

It’s unknown for now if this fix is a server-side one or if players will be required to download a new patch for it. Once we know more and if there are more updates from the studio, we’ll be sure to let our readers know by updating this article.
