Respawn Entertainment has pushed out Apex Legends update 2.53 (PS5 version 1.000.067), and this is the second patch for the game this week! Same as the one released last Monday, expect fixes in this patch rather than any new content.

Update: Respawn has released what’s in today’s patch, and it to fix Breakout Legend Challenges to lose progress.
We just rolled out an update to to fix an issue causing the Breakout Legend Challenges to lose progress.
We fully completed all Challenges for Seer, Fuse, and Rampart for impacted players. Make sure to update your game, and you should be good to go!
Additional fixes in this patch include:
-Caustic no longer gets slowed by an enemy Caustic’s gas
-The end rings will no longer be placed over lava on World’s Edge
-Invisible walls on Broken Moon on Switch have been removed
Respawn hasn’t acknowledged today’s update yet, as the studio’s last update was regarding free Apex Packs as a thank-you gift to players for the data outage and data progression issues.

INVESTIGATING:
- [Mad Maggie] Ultimate not impacting some pass/tacs/ults
FIX IN PROGRESS:
- Breakout Challenge progress reset
- [Ranked] Badges for previous seasons were reset to Bronze (Pred in some cases)
- Progress made between 04/02’s update and 04/03’s server downtime is missing
Once the official patch notes are released, we’ll update the article with the info. However, don’t be surprised if the fixes for it are related to the progression issue.
