ARC Raiders Getting an Anti-Cheat Update in the Coming Weeks; Will Address “Out of Map” Glitch
Continuing its excellent post-release support of ARC Raiders, developer Embark Studios has announced that the extraction shooter will be getting an anti-cheat update in the coming weeks.
This update is aimed at deploying “new detection mechanisms” that will identify and remove cheaters.
For those concerned about the “out of map” glitch/exploit that’s been happening since last year, that too will be addressed.
ARC Raiders Anti-Cheat Update Inbound in the “Coming Weeks”
In a statement posted on the game’s Discord channel, Embark said, “We’ve seen the discussion around the topic of cheaters in ARC Raiders. Please know that we are taking this issue very seriously and are listening to, and acting on your feedback.” Continuing, “Over the next few weeks, we are implementing significant changes to our rulesets and deploying new detection mechanisms to identify and remove cheaters. This includes updating our Anti-Cheat systems for improved detection and bans, as well as applying client-side fixes specifically addressing the “out of map” glitch. Furthermore, we are introducing tools for streamers to help mitigate stream sniping.”
While no specific date has been given for when we can expect the patch, it should arrive within the month as part of the game’s almost-weekly update cycle.
Embark previously confirmed that ARC Raiders updates will be released on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays. So there is a chance we’ll see one this coming week.
